From a parent's perspective, learning an instrument is one of the best things for kids. It improves concentration, confidence, self-esteem, patience, and coordination. All of these things build skills to apply in school and in life in general.
For kids, it is FUN! that's what they care about. The amazing feeling when you learn your first (second.. millionth) song, playing in a band with friends, you never know you might be a future rock star...

Most people call me Disco, my name is actually Dave but that just doesn't have the same ring to it.
I began my musical journey by learning to play guitar at age 5.
I have extended this repertoire over the years to include - Bass guitar (now my forte) Piano/keys and also trombone.
Since my days of initial education, I have been lucky enough to be involved in many groups. Ranging from my first " battle of the bands" competition at age 13 (we came 2nd),also being part of many orchestral performances for The Northern Light Theatre Company at age 15.
I started passing my knowledge on as a teacher then.
Since then I have been contracted to play as a session musician in various bands, festivals, and events, including the Royal family visit in 2014 with South African Hip Hop artist TWIG, and also a live session with the incredibly talented Tommy Immanuel, not to mention having live stage sessions for my students in the past to meet bands that perform with people such as PINK! Thanks very much to Pete Barter the very talented drum teacher for the experience of these sessions, there are too many more to mention but in saying this I also just played with guys cos well.... I love it. But enough about me let's talk about you for a minute...
Being a part of someone else's "WOW" moment and guiding them through their own musical journey is pretty incredible. Allowing me to be part of this journey I hope to give you the same inspiration and knowledge to get out there and full fill YOUR aspirations.
Thank you. I look forward to being part of your development.
