What a term of connection and celebration at Our Saviour! 💛

As Term 3 comes to a close, we’re looking back on the experiences that brought us together:

⛪ Our 40th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service, celebrating with our school and church community, past and present.
🕰️ Our anniversary time capsule, connecting our school’s story across generations.
📚 Book Week dress-ups, bringing favourite characters to life.
🎶 Music Night, celebrating our young musicians and their talents.
🪩 Our 40th birthday-themed disco, with some unforgettable costumes!
🦁 Zoo Snooze camp for Year 2/3 and our first Almost Sleepover for Foundation and Year 1.
🚌 Incursions and excursions that brought fresh experiences into our learning.
🎨 Our Parent Wellbeing Collective’s Paint and Sip evening.
💬 Student Led Conferences and the Year 6 Expo, giving students the opportunity to share their learning with their families.

Alongside these highlights were the everyday moments of care and encouragement that help our children feel known and connected.

Thank you to our staff and families, and to our wonderful PFA and volunteers, for making it all possible.

Enjoy the holiday break. We look forward to seeing you in Term 4! 🌼

It’s the final week of Term 3, and there’s still plenty to look forward to! 😊

Tuesday’s Student Led Conference and Expo is a lovely opportunity for our students to share their learning with their families. Our Year 4/5/6 students also have an excursion to look forward to on Thursday.

On Friday, wear red and bring a gold coin donation to support those affected by the flash floods in Nepal. We’ll then finish the term Subway lunch and SHOUT at 1:50pm.

⏰ Remember, school finishes early on Friday at 2:15pm!

Wishing everyone a wonderful final week before a well-earned holiday break!

Mrs Pech and Mrs Pike certainly understood the birthday party brief! 🐶🎉

Our Principal and Learning Support Coordinator teamed up in a two-person inflatable dog costume for last night’s school disco. Mrs Pech can always count on Mrs Pike to have her back… quite literally this time! 😉

A huge thank you to our wonderful PFA for organising our annual disco, with a birthday party theme to celebrate 40 years of Our Saviour. What a way to mark the occasion! 🪩

We hope everyone’s dancing feet (and paws!) are enjoying a rest today! 🐾

We’ve got a musical week ahead at Our Saviour! 🎶

Join us on Thursday for our School Music Night, from 7pm at Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Everyone is welcome, so bring your family and friends along to enjoy the evening with us.

On Friday, our 40th birthday celebrations continue with the school disco! Time to get those party outfits ready and put on your dancing shoes. 🪩

We’re also looking forward to hearing from our Year 1/2 and Year 4/5 classes at Monday’s assembly.

Check the image for the full week’s activities. We look forward to seeing you!

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads, grandads, stepdads, carers and father figures in our Our Saviour community.

Today we celebrate the people who encourage us, guide us, make us laugh, lend a hand and show their love in so many different ways.

We also know that Father’s Day can be a difficult day for some. For those missing someone special, navigating loss, or for whom today brings complicated feelings, we’re thinking of you too.

However today looks for you and your family, we hope it brings moments of love, connection and kindness.

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Our Saviour. 💙

What a special outing for our Foundation and Year 1 students, who enjoyed their very first Almost Sleepover this week!

Their adventure began with a trip on the big bus to Adelaide Zoo, where they met some incredible animals and learnt more about them.

Back at school, it was time to change into their PJs and settle in for an evening of fun, finishing with a bedtime story read by Principal Mrs Pech before heading home to sleep in their own beds.

Our Almost Sleepover gives our youngest students a gentle introduction to school camps. With familiar teachers, friends and routines around them, they can try something new, build independence and discover just how capable they are.

What an adventurous day of learning! 🚌🦁📖

What a special day celebrating 40 years of Our Saviour! 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us to reflect on our story, give thanks for the people who have shaped our school and celebrate the wonderful community Our Saviour continues to be.

Now, we’re looking ahead to another busy week, beginning with our Father’s Day Stall tomorrow.

On Thursday, our Foundation and Year 1 students will enjoy their Almost Sleepover. It’s always a fun and exciting milestone, and we’re sure there will be plenty of happy memories made!

A reminder that Friday 4 September is a Student Free Day. OSHC will be available, but there will be no Building Blocks Playgroup.

Monday 7 September is also a Student Free Day, with no OSHC available.

What an exciting day for our Year 2/3 students!

There were plenty of smiling faces as we waved goodbye to our campers setting off on their overnight school camp.

School camps are such a special milestone. They're a chance to try new things, grow in confidence and make the kinds of memories children often talk about well into adulthood.

We hope they have an amazing time and look forward to welcoming them home tomorrow with plenty of stories to share, tired eyes and perhaps a little extra dirty washing! 🚌⛺

This Sunday, we’re coming together to celebrate a very special milestone: 40 years of Our Saviour Lutheran School. 💙

Our school and church community will gather for a Thanksgiving Service at Our Saviour Lutheran Church Aberfoyle Park , to reflect on four decades of learning, faith, friendship and community.

There will also be a special moment as we bury a time capsule prepared by our students, capturing a little piece of Our Saviour in 2026 for future generations to discover. ✨

⛪ Thanksgiving Service
📅 Sunday 30 August
🕙 10.00am
🍽️ Followed by lunch

We’d love you to join us as we celebrate the people, memories and stories that have shaped Our Saviour over the past 40 years, and look forward to all that is still to come.
