Excited for this weekend! ☀️
The Paraíso Festival officially starts tomorrow in Vienna, but the pre party is already tonight and I am on my way there now.
If you are a Bachata or Zouk dancer and were still thinking about coming, this is your sign to grab your pass quickly. The festival is already very full and might sell out. If you can still get in, it will definitely be worth it. I had a great time last year and I am really looking forward to this edition.
A big thank you to Joshua and his team for creating this event. Even though his main focus is Bachata, he still made space for Zouk and invited international Zouk teachers to Vienna. That support means a lot for the local community and helps the scene grow and connect internationally.
In the past I spent many years inviting international Zouk artists and organizing workshops here in Vienna. These days most of my focus goes into my events in Croatia, especially the and the , together with the camps that happen before each marathon. Because of that I cannot dedicate the same time to Vienna anymore.
That is why I am very grateful to see several organizers continuing to create Zouk events here and supporting the growth of the community. This weekend my special thanks goes to Joshua for caring about the Zouk scene and helping Vienna become more and more visible as a city where Zouk is alive. 🙏
