Last week we showed a preview of our short film at our university's "Werkschau" as the final presentation of our project.

We received a lot of lovely and helpful feedback and will continue to improve and finalize the film in the upcoming weeks.

We would like to thank everyone who stopped by at our booth and gave us further motivation! All the kind words we received there as well as on this page so far make us very proud of what we accomplished so far. We are really looking forward to the end result and your reactions to the final film. On May 6th, 2022 we will present our production process for the first time at the FMX conference in Stuttgart.

The “FMX - Film and Media Exchange” is an event that focuses on animations, effects, gaming and immersive media. The conference takes place annually in the House of Economy in Stuttgart/Germany over several days. The speakers come from different studios from all over the world and talk about their projects, new tools and pipelines and also give workshops. At the Recruiting Hubs you can also get in touch with employers and employees from the various studios.

This year we got the chance to present our animated short film as "School Project" there! 🥳

Hi everyone! Today we want to introduce ourself here on facebook. Our team consists of our teamleader and 3D artist Danii Mejia, our concept artist and art director Vanessa Ho and me, Vici Perner, also a 3D artist and the one responsible for our social media accouts. Also part of the team are our main animator Marcell Toth, our rigging expert Elke Trummer, our audio and sound artist Anna Wirth and our web artist Natasha Troth. 🥰

Leo starts to hate his pigment spots after a while and even blames them for all his problems. He is so obsessed with the thought of his pigment spots being bad, that he begins to imagine them as harmful creatures that want to hurt him! 👹

In this Render Target you can see Leo watching a little ladybug crawling over his hand. Interesting, that his spots are so similar to those on Leo’s body. 🐞

In the past few weeks we have been working on the 3D environment and the so-called “Render Targets”. Our concept artist painted over the 3D modeled scene to give a first impression of the textures and the lighting moods of the finished film. In this scene Leo proudly feels like a superhero! He dreams to be the biggest saviour of the world 💪🏼

As we mentioned in our previous post, Anna is Leo’s roommate and also his very best friend. Since she is a little older than him and Leo seems like a little brother to her. Anna is a very smart and empathetic girl. She wears a cozy dress over her shirt and pants. Her hair is usually tied into two buns. In addition, she constantly misplaces her red glasses, which she often cannot find without Leo's help. Just like him, Anna loves to draw and do handicrafts.
