😀 My language, your language 😀
// Citizen in Charge // Educators in Charge //
How do further training institutes reach citizens in order to train them in the field of active citizenship?
In particular, it is not always easy to involve isolated and precarious people.
What do educators have good experiences with?
👉 Establishing contacts through social centers, care centers,
etc. Through communication campaigns
over networks
👉 in city centers, through public events, etc.
👉 Involvement of citizens in co-creation processes, such as
participatory democracy processes, multi-stakeholder
dialogues, etc.
🧐 What do you think?
🧐 What program content could the citizens be interested in?

The project "My language-your language" deals with success factors for good citizen participation. The aim is to look at good methods and practices in the context of civic participation at the international level, to receive further training and to learn skills on how target group-oriented participation can succeed on the ground.
The scientific discourse on civic participation and its methods is extensive and controversial. Both science and practice have stated that educationally and disadvantaged groups of the population are excluded and socially disadvantaged be excluded. In addition, practical experience shows that municipal calls for participation are generic and not tailored to the target groups to be reached, and that existing networking structures are also ignored.
With the project "My Language - Your Language - Success Factors for Good Civic Participation" the applicants want to examine the described gap of lacking target group oriented access in accordance with the priorities "Social Inclusion" and "Common Values, Civil Society Engagement and Participation" and work on the following questions in transnational partnership.
The focus will be on networking local organisations and authorities and their integrated cooperation.
Looking at the categories and typologies of civic participation procedures, the Spectrum of future workshops on activation and initiation of planning processes until the idea dialogue. Citizen participation can be structured as a dialogue or can be informative
The depth and breadth of participation are also taken into account.
Completely unnoticed in the discussion about citizen participation are the target group-specific way of addressing (culturally sensitive language style, language style, pictograms,...) and the type of access selection (analogue, digital, flyer, channel, advertising, TV,...) and the question to what extent the life situation and living environment of the group to be involved in the process of information and participation.
