I met Sheila for the first time in Munich, Germany in 2001 at a 2-day workshop she held there. I remember I sang Boplicity for her and we were all called to sing our blues with our own life story or whatever our blues was about. I also remember that we all went to lunch at the Chineese Restaurant and had great hang. Her presence was something really special. She touched and uplifted the spirits of many around the globe.
I’m very grateful for her artistry and the memory I have.
