The American Samoa Community College’s Inclusive Emergency Management (IEM) is excited to begin our educational training journey with 16 students and 5 faculty and staff.

We’re proud to represent ASCC and American Samoa as we continue Preparing Inclusive Leaders for Resilient Communities. 🌴🇦🇸

One of our very own IEM alumni, Ms Ninna Torres Balauro, will be presenting at the upcoming IAEM Region 9 symposium. The product of being motivated to make a difference and using the knowledge and skills ASCC-IEM provides👏🏾.

🤝 Welcoming NASDDDS to American Samoa! 🌺

The Pacific Center in Human Security is pleased to welcome Regina Sisneros, Director of Systems Innovation, and Dan Berland, Director of Federal Policies, to American Samoa.

During their visit, Regina and Dan will be conducting in-person stakeholder interviews and providing technical assistance to support the work of the Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Commission. Their expertise will help guide ongoing systems change efforts as part of the Money Follows the Person (MFP) initiative, helping strengthen a more person-centered, home- and community-based system of care in American Samoa.

Regina and Dan represent the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS), an organization that represents state agencies, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, and Puerto Rico in advancing services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Through visionary leadership, systems innovation, and national policy development, NASDDDS works to strengthen home- and community-based services (HCBS) across the nation.

We are honored to welcome them to the territory and look forward to the collaboration and shared expertise that will help shape the future of HCBS in American Samoa🌴

ASCC Fall 2026 Placement Tests are happening August 5th–7th at the MPC. Beat the late fee by testing on Wednesday or Thursday!
