Happy Student's Day!

Have you heard words like ‘wanna’ and ‘gonna’ before? 💬

Reductions are common in colloquial, informal speech – particularly in American English.

Knowing them might help you understand native speakers better.

They are often heard in real-life spoken English, on television or in song.

But you don’t have to use them yourself to be understood.

It’s also important to remember not to use them in any formal writing or in an exam.
