🇺🇸 Visit from the U.S. Embassy to American Corner Cazenga 🇦🇴
Yesterday, August 19, 2026, American Corner Cazenga had the honor of welcoming representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Luanda.
During the visit, we welcomed:
1. Kathleen Hosie – Deputy Counselor for Culture and Education;
2. Vanda Lobato – Resource Coordinator;
3. Dionísio Dala – Representative of the U.S. Embassy and Education Counselor.
American Corner Cazenga is an initiative of the U.S. Embassy, created to promote access to information, education, culture, English language learning, and development opportunities for the community.
The visit was an excellent opportunity to present the work being carried out at the American Corner and share some of the educational and cultural activities organized for the community, especially for young people and students.
During the visit, we also highlighted the work of the English Friendship Youth Club of Angola, an initiative that promotes English language practice, communication, friendship, interaction among young people, and skills development through conversations, debates, and other engaging activities.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for dialogue, interaction, and the exchange of ideas about the importance of creating more learning and development opportunities for young people.
It was truly a special moment for American Corner Cazenga, reinforcing our commitment to promoting education, culture, English language learning, and connections between people and opportunities.
We sincerely thank the U.S. Embassy, especially Kathleen Hosie, Vanda Lobato, and Dionísio Dala, for the visit, interest, and continued support for the initiatives developed at American Corner Cazenga.
