Luanda - O Inglês é, sem dúvida, a principal língua dos negócios internacionais, do comércio, da produção de conhecimento, do acesso a tecnologias avançadas e do desenvolvimento profissional de países e indivíduos. Nesse contexto, este artigo apresenta os resultados mais recentes de Angola no Ranking Global de Países e Regiões do Índice de Proficiência em Inglês da Education First, seguido de uma breve discussão sobre suas implicações.

Os resultados do Índice de Proficiência em Inglês da Education First mostram que Angola continua abaixo da média global, situando-se próximo do final da classificação mundial e também na parte inferior entre os países africanos. Especificamente, Angola encontra-se na categoria de “Proficiência Muito Baixa”. No entanto, em comparação com o ano anterior, houve uma melhoria modesta de 4 pontos, passando de 409 (2024) para 413 (2025), o que permitiu uma ligeira subida no ranking, do 110° para o 109° lugar.
