🌟 Exciting News from AUA OSP&TT!

Dr. Knar Khachatryan, Professor and Academic Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs and Technology Transfer, has published a new article in the peer-reviewed journal New Directions for Teaching and Learning!

Co-authored with Dr. Valentina Hartarska (Auburn University), the article explores “internationalization at home”—bringing together students from Armenia and the U.S. through joint research assignments. This approach not only enhances learning outcomes but also fosters cultural understanding. 🌍📚

Dr. Khachatryan shares: “Joint assignments broaden students’ horizons professionally and culturally, even when study-abroad opportunities are limited.”

This project also addressed real-world challenges, including the events of September 19, 2023, in Nagorno-Karabakh, highlighting the importance of dialogue and intercultural understanding.

🔹 In Fall 2024, became the first in to establish a functional, institutionalized, and policy-based AUA Office of Sponsored Programs & Technology Transfer to foster innovation and within both the University and the broader community.

🔹 By establishing this office, AUA seeks to bridge the gap between academic and industry, facilitating the commercialization of research outcomes, enhancing the institution’s prominence, and contributing to Armenia’s socioeconomic development.
