GSU REPRESENTATIVES PARTICIPATED IN THE WORKSHOP OF THE EU ‹‹ERASMUS+T-GREEN›› PROJECT
Gavar State University Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Nelly Kutuzyan, Head of the Accounting Department Hakob Ghuloyan, Lecturer of the same department, GSU ​​Chief Accountant Gurgen Muradyan, Head of the GSU Foreign Relations and Media Department Lilit Torchyan participated in the workshop of the European Union ‹‹Erasmus+T-Green. Transforming Postgraduate Education for a Green and Sustainable Future›› project at the Catholic University of Porto, Portugal, dedicated to the discussion of the results of the implementation of master's programs.
Delegates from the partner European universities of the project - Portugal, Poland, Greece, Lithuania - presented the legal regulations of joint, double and multiple master's programs implemented in their countries.
The employees of Armenian universities presented the master's programs developed and piloted within the framework of the EU program, as well as the reprofiled courses that are included in the related master's educational programs and include topics related to "green education".
The main objectives of the "Green Economy and Sustainable Development" master's educational program of Gavar State University, as well as the "Project Management", "Philosophy of Economics", "Trends in Manufacturing Business Development", "Logistics", "Corporate Financial Management", "Financial Management", "Financial Analysis", "Investment Project Evaluation" courses, reprofiled within the framework of the "Erasmus+T-Green" program, and other achievements in the program were presented by Lilit Torchyan, Head of the Foreign Relations and Media Department of GSU.
During the workshop, representatives of Armenian universities discussed issues related to the further implementation of joint master's programs. GSU representatives actively participated in the discussions, making important observations and suggestions.

DISCUSSION OF EU "ERASMUS + KPI4HE" PROJECT AT GAVAR STATE UNIVERSITY

On April 9, 2025, a discussion of the draft NF-KPI concept developed within the framework of EU "ERASMUS + KPI4HE: ''Establishment of National framework of Key Performance Indicators for good governance and quality towards inclusive, digital and green oriented higher education in Armenia'' (KPI4HE) project took place at Gavar State University.
GSU working group presented proposals on the key indicators of activity defined in the “Education, Science, Mission” and other directions. Rector of GSU, Doctor of Law Ruzanna Hakobyan noted the importance of the key indicators of activity being in line with the strategic goals of the development of the higher education system of the Republic of Armenia. It was also noted that it is necessary to clarify the key indicators of activity, provide them with content and methodological justification, provide organizational support, develop and implement a mechanism that would make it possible to record, monitor and analyze the indicators, and take measures aimed at their improvement, comparing them with international standards, taking into account advanced experience and the peculiarities of the higher education system of the Republic of Armenia.
Key performance indicators should be defined as a result of a comprehensive study and become a reality as indicators of performance effectiveness, ensuring results-based work. And the national framework to be adopted will enable more systematic collection, analysis and application of data, contributing to the identification and resolution of existing problems in the education system.
The availability of measurable indicators at the national level can also contribute to the efficiency of university management by offering more effective mechanisms for strategic planning and resource investment.
In conclusion, it was noted that the adoption of a national framework of key performance indicators in the higher education sector is important on the path to sustainable development, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement, contributing to the clear formulation of educational outcomes and their achievement, and the effective functioning of the education system.

Dear Gavar State University students and lecturers, we are pleased to inform you that in accordance with the agreement signed between Gavar State University and the University of Almeria, Spain, within the framework of EU "Erasmus +" proJECT, GSU students have the opportunity to participate in the summer school organized by the University of Almeria during July of this year, and lecturers have the opportunity to teach at the summer school for two weeks.
Knowledge of English at level C1-C2 is mandatory for lecturers, and knowledge at level B2 is mandatory for students.
The program provides beneficiaries with an individual scholarship, as well as covers travel expenses.

NEW EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF EU "ERASMUS + T-GREEN" PROJECT

The new “Green Economy and Sustainable Development” MA degree program, which will be implemented within the framework of EU “ERASMUS +T-GREEN” project, was discussed. The degree program will be developed by Gavar State University jointly with the Armenian State University of Economics. At the proposal of the project consortium, by order of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the list of RA MA degree programs was supplemented with the following educational programs “Green Economy and Sustainable Development”, “Circular Economy and Management”, “Economics and Management of Sustainable Development”, “Strategic Management of Green Economy”.
GSU working team discussed the curriculum of the new educational program, the list of subjects, the package of documents required for a license to implement the educational program, the necessary resources, and clarified contextual and organizational issues.

EU “ERASMUS + T-GREEN” AND “ERASMUS + KPI4HE” PROJECTS WERE DISCUSSED AT GSU

EU “ERASMUS + T-GREEN” and “ERASMUS + KPI4HE” projects were discussed at the Rectorate session of Gavar State University. Rector Ruzanna Hakobyan noted that the European Union projects contribute to the development of the capacities of universities, the modernization of professions, the improvement of curricula, the implementation of “green” education concept, and the introduction of a system of indicators’ effectiveness of higher education.
GSU Vice-Rector on Educational and Scientific Affairs - Nelly Kutuzyan introduced the results of the workshop held at the University of Genoa, Italy, from March 25 to 28, 2025.
GSU Head of the Foreign Relations and Media Department - Lilit Torchyan introduced the work planned within the framework of EU "ERASMUS + T-GREEN" and "ERASMUS + KPI4HE" projects, the deadlines set by the action plan of the projects. Issues related to the implementation of the projects were discussed at the GSU Rectorate session.
Discussions of current results of EU projects at GSU and reports on work done, outlining tasks and clarifying actions are going on.

GAVAR STATE UNIVERSITY AS A MEMBER OF EU "ERASMUS+ VIRTUAL VOYAGES" PROJECT

Gavar State University is a member of EU "Erasmus+ Acquiring Transversal Competences through Virtual Voyages" project, which is implemented within the framework of the new "Erasmus+ Virtual Exchanges" action program and aims to implement virtual-online academic mobility programs to promote intercultural dialogue and the development of flexible skills among participants.
Gavar State University is the only Armenian university participating in the project. “Virtual Voyages” project aims to create virtual exchange opportunities for students on topics related to career planning, capacity building and soft skills development, using the existing e-learning platform thevoyage.eu. The project also aims to promote mutual understanding and tolerance among 2,100 students from universities in Armenia, Romania, Italy, Portugal, Georgia, Moldova and other participating countries, who will have the opportunity to communicate virtually, exchange their thoughts, ideas and experiences, while improving their own capabilities and skills in the mentioned areas. Both synchronous and asynchronous activities will be organized, and students will benefit from the electronic materials available on the virtual platform. Training courses will also be organized for university teaching staff, young employees and trainers to improve their digital literacy, soft skills and the ability to practically apply new e-learning tools.
On April 30, 2025, the project kick-off meeting was held online, during which the project work packages, action plan, project information dissemination plan, and features of the virtual platform were introduced. Delegates from participating universities presented their universities, and the upcoming activities and the deadlines within the framework of the project were discussed.
From Gavar State University Lilit Torchyan - Head of the Foreign Relations and Media Department, and Siranuysh Mkrtchyan - a specialist in the same department participated in the meeting.

GSU REPRESENTATIVES AT THE UN IVERSITY OF GENOA, ITALY

From March 25-28, 2025, Gavar State University Vice-Rector– Nelli Kutuzyan, Head of the Chair of Informatics and Physical-Mathematical Sciences – Varazdat Avetisyan, Head of Academic Policy Department – Olga Ghazaryan, Head of Quality Assurance Department – Kanakara Hayrapetyan, Head of Foreign Relations and Media Department- Lilit Torchayn and a Specialist at the same department – Nune Miribyan participated in EU "Erasmus + Establishment of National Framework of Key Performance Indicators for Good Governance and Quality towards Inclusive, Digital and Green Oriented Higher Education in Armenia (KPI4HE)" project workshop at the University of Genoa, Italy.
Issues related to capacity development for institutional research, strategic planning, development and implementation of new procedures and tools, quality assurance, and performance indicators were presented and discussed.
Nelly Kutuzyan presented the methodology for developing key performance indicators at GSU and the experience of monitoring performance results. Lilit Torchyan presented the strategic planning processes at Gavar State University and the program implementation process.
At the end of the workshop, further actions within the project were outlined.
