What happens when students trade calculators for 3D printers? 📐🏗️

We recently saw a standard math assignment at Dilijan Central School turn into something much bigger. The task was simple: find where parabolas show up in real life. But instead of just drawing them on paper, one group decided to actually build a bridge. That was the spark.

Once the rest of the class saw that first parabolic arch come off the printer, the Lab was packed. Students who originally planned to use cardboard were suddenly diving into 3D printing and vinyl cutting, making everything from scale models of the St. Louis Arch to functional antennas.

The coolest part? It became peer-led. We watched students stop being just "learners" and start mentoring each other on machine setup and design tweaks.

At Fab Lab Armenia, we love seeing this shift toward logic and real-world skills. Formulas are just the starting point.

Linear systems have driven progress for decades, but they leave no room for continuity.

Ever wondered what you’re actually breathing while strolling through the park? Thanks to a mix of citizen science and Fab Lab engineering spirit, now you can know in real-time!

Our local pioneer, Alexander Chichigin, decided that "off-the-shelf" wasn't adventurous enough. He brought a kit of raw components to the lab and, with some expert guidance from our team, transformed them into a fully functional ArmAQI sensor.

What went into it?
> Precision Soldering
> 3D Printing
> Collaboration!

Where to find it? 📍The sensor is installed inside the "smart bench" we built together near the Tourist Information Centre. Next time you’re resting your legs, remember: that bench isn't just supporting you; it’s monitoring the sky for all of us.

A crew of UWC Dilijan students took over the Lab to master the art of biomaterials. 🧪🌿 They spent the day "cooking" new recipes to lead their own workshop for kids from Vanadzor!

Ո՞ւմ համար է այս ծրագիրը: Այս ծրագիրը հատուկ մշակված է այն կանանց համար, ովքեր չունեն մշտական զբաղվածություն և փնտրում են նոր մասնագիտական ուղղություն։

Մենք կամրջում ենք գաղափարը և արտադրությունը՝ ձեզ փոխանցելով առաջադեմ արդյունաբերական տեխնոլոգիական հմտություններ։ Նախնական մասնագիտական փորձը պարտադիր չէ։
