Epoka University Department of Law Participates in Exchange-4-All (E4A) Blended Mobility Programme at Leiden University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands

The Department of Law of Epoka University successfully participated in the Exchange-4-All (E4A) Blended Mobility Programme, organised in cooperation with its partner, Leiden University of Applied Sciences (LUAS), the Netherlands. The programme combined six weeks of online collaboration (April–June 2026) with a physical mobility week in Leiden from 29 June to 3 July 2026, providing students and academic staff with a dynamic international learning experience.

The Department of Law was represented by students: Vesa Muka, Kejsa Alushllari, and Ines Deçolli, accompanied by Dr. Alba Gerdeci as the Creathon coach. Prior to the mobility week, the students successfully completed a six-week online programme facilitated by Carlo Bakker (LUAS), an international team of coaches, and the Epoka University coach, preparing them for intensive international collaboration in Leiden.

The Department of Law extends its sincere appreciation to Carlo Bakker, Tanja van den Berge, and the entire LUAS team for their excellent coordination, warm hospitality, and dedication to the success of the programme. Special thanks are also extended to Romario Shehu of IDM Albania for sharing his valuable expertise and contributing to the discussions.

Study Visit in the framework of "Justice Week" at the Court of First Instance Tirana

On the occasion of “Justice Week”, first- and third-year students of the Department of Law at Epoka University, under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr Gelanda Shkurtaj, conducted a study visit as part of the course “Civil Law I” and “Insolvency Law” at the Court of First Instance, Tirana.

The main purpose of these study visits was to closely observe insolvency law court hearings. Attendance and active participation in these hearings were accompanied by structured discussions and exchanges of arguments, making the students’ experience more interactive, reflective, and analytical.

The students gained direct insight into the judicial decision-making process and developed a deeper understanding of how courtrooms and the justice system function in practice.

The judges welcomed and commended the Department of Law at Epoka University's initiative, emphasising the importance of strengthening the connection between classroom education and practical experience within judicial institutions.

We are proud to share that our law students Ines Deçolli, Vesa Muka, and Kejsa Allushllari, under the guidance of Dr. Alba Gerdeci, successfully completed Week 5 of the Exchange-4-All (E4A) Blended Mobility Program, led by Carlo Bakker from Hogeschool Leiden.

The Exchange-4-All (E4A) initiative connects students and academics from Albania, the Netherlands, Georgia, Nigeria, and Palestine through the CREATHON framework—Collaborate, Innovate, Demonstrate—fostering intercultural dialogue, teamwork, and innovative problem-solving.

We look forward to seeing the creative ideas and impactful solutions that emerge from this inspiring international collaboration. 🌐💡

⚖️ Inaugurimi i Sallës së Gjyqit Simulues — Departamenti i Drejtësisë

Departamenti i Drejtësisë zhvilloi inaugurimin e Sallës së Gjyqit Simulues. Një hap tejet i rëndësishëm në fuqizimin e praktikës mësimore dhe përgatitjen profesionale të studentëve.

Në kuadër të inaugurimit u organizua edhe një gjyq simulues, ku studentët patën mundësinë të vendosin në praktikë njohuritë teorike, duke zhvilluar aftësi në argumentimin juridik, analizën e çështjeve dhe etikën profesionale.

Kjo sallë synon të krijojë një urë lidhëse mes teorisë dhe praktikës, duke ofruar një përvojë sa më pranë realitetit të profesionit juridik.

Falënderojmë gjyqtarin Sokol Mara dhe lektorin Gledis Nano për kontributin e çmuar, Prof. Asoc. Isa Erbas, Prof. Asoc.
