We are proud to share that our law students Ines Deçolli, Vesa Muka, and Kejsa Allushllari, under the guidance of Dr. Alba Gerdeci, successfully completed Week 5 of the Exchange-4-All (E4A) Blended Mobility Program, led by Carlo Bakker from Hogeschool Leiden.

The Exchange-4-All (E4A) initiative connects students and academics from Albania, the Netherlands, Georgia, Nigeria, and Palestine through the CREATHON framework—Collaborate, Innovate, Demonstrate—fostering intercultural dialogue, teamwork, and innovative problem-solving.

We look forward to seeing the creative ideas and impactful solutions that emerge from this inspiring international collaboration. 🌐💡

⚖️ Inaugurimi i Sallës së Gjyqit Simulues — Departamenti i Drejtësisë

Departamenti i Drejtësisë zhvilloi inaugurimin e Sallës së Gjyqit Simulues. Një hap tejet i rëndësishëm në fuqizimin e praktikës mësimore dhe përgatitjen profesionale të studentëve.

Në kuadër të inaugurimit u organizua edhe një gjyq simulues, ku studentët patën mundësinë të vendosin në praktikë njohuritë teorike, duke zhvilluar aftësi në argumentimin juridik, analizën e çështjeve dhe etikën profesionale.

Kjo sallë synon të krijojë një urë lidhëse mes teorisë dhe praktikës, duke ofruar një përvojë sa më pranë realitetit të profesionit juridik.

Falënderojmë gjyqtarin Sokol Mara dhe lektorin Gledis Nano për kontributin e çmuar, Prof. Asoc. Isa Erbas, Prof. Asoc. Gentjan Skara dhe Dr. Esmir Demaj për vizionin dhe mbështetjen institucionale që e bëri të mundur këtë iniciativë, si dhe të gjithë studentët dhe të ftuarit që e bënë këtë ditë të veçantë.

📌 “Ditët e Hapura” në Gjykatën Kushtetuese 🏛️

Studentët e Departamentit të Drejtësisë pranë Epoka University patën mundësinë të zhvillonin një bisedë me gjyqtaret Sonila Bejtja dhe Marjana Semini, në kuadër të iniciativës “Ditët e Hapura” të Gjykata Kushtetuese e Republikës së Shqipërisë.

Gjatë takimit, studentët u njohën më nga afër me rolin thelbësor të Gjykatës Kushtetuese në mbrojtjen e Kushtetutës, garantimin e shtetit të së drejtës dhe funksionimin e drejtësisë kushtetuese në Shqipëri. Diskutimi u karakterizua nga një atmosferë e hapur dhe interaktive, ku gjyqtaret iu përgjigjën pyetjeve të studentëve mbi vendimmarrjen, sfidat dhe organizimin e institucionit.

🎯 Kjo iniciativë synon të afrojë të rinjtë me institucionet e drejtësisë, të nxisë interesin për të drejtën kushtetuese dhe të forcojë kulturën e transparencës institucionale.

Falënderojmë Gjykata Kushtetuese e Republikës së Shqipërisë për mikpritjen dhe organizimin e këtij aktiviteti me vlerë për studentët tanë.

From 4–8 May 2026, Dr. Alba Gerdeci carried out an academic visit at the Department of Law of the University of Salerno, hosted by Prof. Teresa Russo, Associate Professor of EU Law and Jean Monnet Chair of EUVALWEB.

She delivered lectures on the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, reflecting on their legal and political implications for Kosovo, the Balkans, and international justice, particularly as final verdicts approach. Their establishment is closely linked to the EU’s conditionality framework within integration processes, illustrating the broader intersection between international justice mechanisms and EU accession dynamics. As verdicts approach, there is a heightened risk of renewed political tensions both domestically and across the region, where judicial outcomes may be reinterpreted through political narratives.

The programme also included participation in a conference on trafficking in human beings, addressing victims, emerging forms of exploitation and the evolving Italian, European and international legal responses.

The visit strengthened academic exchange and institutional cooperation between the two universities.

University Goce Delčev in Shtip Vice Rector Prof. Nikodinovska Delivers a lecture on "EU Influence in the Western Balkans" 🇪🇺🇦🇱🇲🇰

Prof. Ana Nikodinovska, Vice Rector for International Relations of the University Goce Delčev in Shtip and full professor at the Department of International Relations and European Law, delivered an open lecture as part of the Erasmus Exchange program to students from the Departments of Political Science, International Relations and Law.

The lecture focused on the European Union’s transformative role in the Western Balkans, with particular attention to North Macedonia. Prof. Nikodinovska explored the country’s EU integration journey, highlighting both progress and ongoing challenges.

Students actively participated in the discussion, expressing strong interest and raising questions about the complexities of the accession process and the obstacles North Macedonia continues to face on its path toward EU membership.

The lecture concluded by emphasising the importance of continued dialogue and academic engagement in understanding and advancing the region’s European future.

Match 1 | Round I – ELSA Negotiation Competition 2026

Round I of the ELSA Negotiation Competition commenced with a negotiation between Epoka University and the University of Tirana 4, setting a high standard for the competition ahead.

Both teams demonstrated strong legal reasoning, and their performance stood out for its strategic coherence, clarity of communication, and well-executed negotiation approach.

🏆 Winner: Epoka University Team composed of Sidorela Tyli and Celjeta Hodo.

The ELSA Negotiation Competition is organised by ELSA Albania and Frost & Fire Consulting.

Studentët e vitit të 5-të të programit të Drejtësisë në Universitetin EPOKA zhvilluan një vizitë studimore në ambientet e Institutit të Policisë Shkencore.

Nën udhëheqjen e lektorit të lëndës së Kriminalistikës, Gledis Nano, studentët panë nga afër botën e hetimit shkencor. Gjatë kësaj vizite, ata u njohën me procedurat e ekspertimeve kryesore si:

Studentët e vitit të 5 të programit të drejtësisë pranë Universitetit Epoka kryen një vizitë studimore në Sektorin e Policisë Shkencore në Drejtorinë Vendore të Policisë Tiranë. Kjo vizitë u zhvillua në kuadër të lëndës së Kriminalistikës, zhvilluar nga lektori i lendës Gledis Nano.

Gjatë vizitës studentët patën mundësinë të njihen nga afër me zbulimin, fiksimin dhe grumbullimin e provave materiale në vendngjarje, si dhe kryerjen e ekspertimeve që ndihmojnë në identifikimin e autorëve.

Today, students from the Department of the Law and the Political Science and International Relations participated in a dynamic information session on internship and career opportunities at NATO, hosted at the premises of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The session offered valuable insights into career pathways, application procedures, and professional development within NATO, motivating students to explore opportunities in international institutions and diplomacy.

Students also engaged directly with NATO’s Human Resources representatives, exchanging questions and receiving first-hand guidance on pursuing a career within the Alliance.
