1. off the cuff (idiom)
If you speak of the cuff, you say something without having prepared thought about your words first.

Example:
In some cases people cannot give a presentation of the cuff.

I didn't prepare a speech, so I gave an off-the-cuff speech.

Note:
The idiom (off the cuff) is hyphenated when it is before noun.

2. Crash (verb)
The word (crash) means 'to sleep' in informal English. It refers to a time when a person is tired and wants to sleep temporarily.
Example:
Can I crash on the sofa?

Some useful idioms:

1. add fuel to the fire (Am E) / add fuel to the flames (Br E)

Meaning: to make an argument or situation worse

Example:
Ahmad and I were arguing, and Ali's sarcastic comment added fuel to the fire.

2. bite the bullet
Meaning: to force yourself to do something or accept something unpleasant
Example:
I know that working in such an office is extremely difficult, but I have to bite the bullet. I have no chance to get another job soon.

adjective (informal)

Someone who is wishy-washy does not have firm or clear ideas and seems unable to decide what they want- used to show disapproval.
