Azita Azimi received her bachelor's degree from the Computer Science faculty of Herat University. After graduation, she was assigned as a lecturer at the same faculty. Also, at the same time, she taught web development at Code to Inspire which is a coding school for girls in Herat province. After that, she continued her studies at the Technical University of Berlin and received her master's degree in the Computer Science field. As an Afghan female researcher in technology, she tried to apply her knowledge to the problems of Afghan women. Therefore, she focused her master’s thesis on the applicability of data mining on reports of violence against women in Afghanistan to find important and hidden knowledge and information from these data. As the result, by applying data mining techniques she found important information from these data and presented it in her dissertation.
Azita will be with us in the Afghanistan virtual summit and will have a talk on “Applicability of technology on context of violence against women in Afghanistan”.
