the invitation • love • alignment
Across traditions, there is one shared invitation:
The path opens when we choose the rigorous preparation that builds true readiness hidden from view.
It’s the internal discipline of Sādhana.
It’s the deep, unseen cultivation of the soul through Askesis.
It’s the quiet, foundational alignment of Mussar.
It is the deliberate groundwork beneath the surface, the willingness to pack & unpack in the dark, to witness a reflection, and grow into the light, that ensures you are ready to sustain the journey…as you are.

Breath • Practice
Show up daily for the breath..
One inhale to create space.
One exhale to come home.
Again, and again, we recalibrate.
Then…carry it with you.
love always.
always love.

Even Flow
You don’t always have to be IN your flow.
Your flow, is your flow.✨
Sometimes we are spinning.
Sometimes we are in our head, overthinking.
Sometimes we’d rather just stay on the couch.
The beautiful thing about movement,
is that it doesn’t ask us to be perfect.
Just present.
Welcome the wobble, the sigh, the messy transitions , and that “I almost don’t have it in me” energy.
Then, invite it all to move!
Today’s flow is dedicated to everyone
who almost canceled on themselves.
You showed up.
You chose yourself.
And that’s movement.
🙏

Breath • Awareness
Yoga was never really about touching your toes.
Welcome movement,
to stay connected to yourself,
while life moves around you.
Practice finding your center.
Then carry it with you.

Hello, Summer☀️
If you’re from Wisconsin, you know these months are precious!
The lakes call, the trails open up, campfires linger a little longer, and life naturally pulls us outside.
As we move into summer, connect to your practice, whatever that looks like for you. Maybe it’s five mindful breaths on a dock, a morning stretch before a hike, a quiet walk through the woods, or simply taking a moment to be fully present in the life unfolding around you.
Rather than a regular class schedule, we will be leaning into the season with a little more spontaneity and adventure. Until we settle back into a more regular rhythm this fall, expect pop-up yoga sessions, Raw Raven gatherings, hikes, paddles, stretch sessions, and the occasional experience that simply feels right for the moment.
Keep an eye here for yoga insights, movement inspiration, upcoming gatherings, and opportunities to connect—with yourself, your community, and the great outdoors.
Summer moves quickly, especially here in Wisconsin. Slow down enough to notice it. Be where your feet are. Watch the sunset. Take the paddle. Say yes to the hike.
Welcome in the laughter, love, joy, and community that surrounds you.
Flow. Stay curious. Stay grounded. Be present.
I’ll see you out there 🖤
Always love • Love always

WFR
Learning outside the spaces you know is invigorating, humbling, rewarding, and sometimes deeply uncomfortable. That discomfort is part of the process.
This past weekend, I completed my Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Recertification along with BLS/CPR training through Wilderness Medical Associates International. Three days immersed in wilderness scenarios, hands-on rescue simulations, classroom learning, patient assessments, teamwork, communication, and adapting in real time.
What I appreciate most about experiences like this is how clearly they reveal the effort it takes to truly show up for others in difficult moments.
Staying calm, welcoming curiosity, thinking clearly, communicating effectively, supporting one another through long days, and being willing to step back into the unknown again and again.
Staying curious, exploring unfamiliar spaces, and stepping into environments that challenge you keeps the mind sharp, adaptable, vulnerable, and awake to the world around you.
There’s something powerful about humans coming together with a shared intention to help others, do meaningful work, and be useful when it matters most. No ego. Just participation, growth, awareness, and giving back.
Also…shoutout to the American Heart Association for permanently embedding “Rhythm Is a Dancer” into my nervous system as a CPR song. Catch me silently doing chest compressions during Yoga or at Tasting Experiences 🤓
Grateful for Amy (the instructor and the badass), classmates, the WFR Warriors, the conversations, and the reminder that growth happens when you keep putting yourself in rooms that challenge you!
Huge love to all of the first responders, trauma units, dispatchers, nurses, doctors, medics, firefighters, rescue teams, and every human in service roles who pour time, energy, skill, and heart into caring for humanity every single day🫶

What you give 🫶
Yesterday I had the honor to be a guest for Volunteer Day teaching Yoga, mindfulness and breath to a room full of bright spirited, open minded elementary kids alongside my niece, Azalea. (Azay🫶) Their vulnerable curiosity, laughter, and willingness to try … reminded me how meaningful it is to share what you love with others.
Sometimes yoga, leadership, art, movement, or even a simple conversation can open people up to new experiences, stronger communities, and parts of themselves they may not have noticed yet.
Huge gratitude to the Sauk Community for inviting me back again this year and trusting me with the space. And of course, big love to for the delicious branded treats that helped close out the day with a little sweetness 😋

And a reminder that connection, curiosity, and movement are powerful teachers!
Thank you, Azalea, for trusting me and the process of your practice. 🤍
