GEMS Millennium School, Sharjah

In line with the Citywide Flame Tree Plantation Initiative introduced by GLS, and inspired by HH Sheikh Hamdan’s vision for enhancing green spaces across Dubai, our school proudly participated in this meaningful environmental program on 8th June 2026.

Our student representative, Aashay Jain (9B2), accompanied by Ms. Sunitha Sudheer (GGA Teacher Ambassador), actively took part in the initiative. As part of the program, we received three Flame Tree saplings, which were planted with pride and care in our school premises.

This initiative provided our students with a valuable opportunity to engage in environmental stewardship and contribute towards building a more sustainable and greener community.

The Commerce Department successfully conducted Commerce Week 2026 from 2–4 June 2026, providing students with hands-on learning experiences that connected classroom knowledge with real-world business concepts.

Activities Included:
FinWiz Quiz 2026 – A Kahoot! quiz on finance, entrepreneurship, budgeting, financial literacy, and safe online practices, with participation from 100 students of Grades 9 and 11.

Business Pitches Competition – Students showcased innovative business ideas, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking.

Spin the Wheel – Brand Identification – An engaging activity that tested market awareness and brand recognition skills.

GMS hosted the CBSE UAE Cluster Badminton Tournament for Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 Girls from June 6, 2026, to June 8, 2026.

The tournament brought together 265 talented student-athletes from across the UAE, with 25 schools competing in the Under-14 and Under-17 category and 21 schools in the Uner-19 category.

World Environment Day

On the occasion of World Environment Day, celebrated on 5th June, our kindergartners, in collaboration with the Parent Forum Eco Members, participated in engaging activities aligned with this year’s theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Our Climate. For Our Future.”

The students enthusiastically created a beautiful Environmental Tree using their handprints, while learning about the importance of protecting the environment.

Through this meaningful activity, they explored simple ways to care for nature and contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future.

Leadership Camp 2026

On May 21, 2026, we conducted our Leadership Camp, providing our student leaders with valuable opportunities for growth, learning, and personal development.

We were honored to welcome Sandra Carter, Consultant and Leadership Trainer from Compass International, as our guest speaker. Her expertise, insights, and commitment to developing future leaders continue to make a meaningful impact on our students.

Our student leaders gained valuable knowledge, practical leadership skills, and inspiring perspectives throughout the camp. It was a highly beneficial and enriching experience that will undoubtedly contribute to their growth as future leaders.

Environment Day Celebration 2026 – Grade 3 & 4 Highlights 🌿

As part of the Environment Day celebration, in collaboration with the Eco Club and Parent Forum members, our Grade 3 and Grade 4 students actively participated in meaningful green initiatives.

Guided by this year’s theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future,” students showcased their creativity through poster making and promoted sustainable habits through the Zero-Waste Lunch activity.
