Fotis Kitsios, PhD
University of Macedonia (Greece) / School of Information Sciences

Fotis is Associate Professor of Business Strategy and Innovation at the Department of Applied Informatics, University of Macedonia. He holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Innovation Management with a specialization in new service development. He has consulted several SMEs and has also been involved in the implementation and coordination of national and European research projects. He also lectured at Technical University of Crete and University of Central Greece, Hellenic Open University, Open University of Cyprus and has jointly supervised numerous Master’s and Diploma theses. His scientific research interests mainly focus on business strategy, service innovation management, change management and technology, social enterprises management, digital strategy, and innovation.

هو أستاذ مساعد لاستراتيجية الأعمال والابتكار في قسم المعلوماتية التطبيقية بجامعة مقدونيا. حاصل على درجة الدكتوراه في إدارة الابتكار الاستراتيجي مع التخصص في تطوير الخدمات الجديدة. وقد عمل كمستشار مع العديد من الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة كما شارك في تنفيذ وتنسيق المشاريع البحثية الوطنية والأوروبية. كما ألقى محاضرات في جامعة كريت التقنية وجامعة وسط اليونان ، وجامعة هيلينك المفتوحة ، وجامعة قبرص المفتوحة ، وأشرف بالاشتراك على العديد من رسائل الماجستير والدكتوراه. تركز اهتماماته البحثية العلمية بشكل رئيسي على استراتيجية الأعمال ، وإدارة الابتكار في مجال الخدمات ، وإدارة التغيير والتكنولوجيا ، وإدارة المؤسسات الاجتماعية ، والاستراتيجية الرقمية والابتكار.

Stavros is an educator, advisor, mentor, and innovator in the fields of business innovation, management, entrepreneurship, and service design and development. With both a Ph.D. and an MBA in Strategy, Enterprise & Innovation, he has made significant contributions to these fields through his research and publications on entrepreneurship and business innovation. As an educator, he has taught in several different countries at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and holds a variety of advisory and mentoring positions for students and faculty at numerous schools including the University of Sharjah, American University in Dubai, Laureate Online Education, and Anaheim University.

What is the Family Business Project?

It is an ongoing study conducted in the University of Sharjah in collaboration with the Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας University of Macedonia, Greece. It studies the impact of organizational culture and planning systems on innovation and firm performance. This project explores innovation dynamics and prospects of growth for the family firms in the GCC countries.
