✅ Gabapentin — 10–20 mg/kg, 3× daily 
✅ Omeprazole — 1 mg/kg once daily (reduces CSF production)

This is not a behavioral problem. This is neuropathic pain.

Feline Orofacial Pain Syndrome (FOPS) — especially in Burmese cats — turns mild gingivitis or teething into explosive trigeminal nerve pain. The cat doesn’t scratch to itch. It mutilates to stop the fire.

What doesn’t work:

❌ Steroids
❌ NSAIDs

What does:

✅ Gabapentin — 10–20 mg/kg, 2–3× daily (first line)
✅ Carbamazepine — for refractory cases
