**Results tell readers what you found. Discussion tells them what those findings mean.**
The difference sounds simple, but mixing the two can make a research paper harder to follow. In the Results section, report the evidence clearly. In the Discussion, interpret it, connect it to earlier research, and acknowledge its limits.
