A proud and historic beginning for the OOW Middle School Scouts Movement! ⚜️
With over 140 student registrations, the Scouts Programme was officially inaugurated with great enthusiasm, energy, and team spirit, marking a strong beginning to a movement that fosters unity, leadership, discipline, and collaboration - the true spirit of scouting.
The event was graced by our Principal, Ms. Anjuli Murthy, and Vice Principal, Ms. Anita Nair, who formally inaugurated the programme through the symbolic tying of the Square Knot, followed by the display of the official school Scout flag, adding pride and significance to the occasion.
The initiative is being led by our Head of Middle School, Mr. Robin John Mathai, along with his team (Ms. Rekha, Ms. Biju, and Ms. Sajeesh), ensuring the smooth planning and ex*****on of the programme.
As part of the inauguration, students actively engaged in key scouting activities, including the selection of Patrol Leaders and Deputy Patrol Leaders, as well as the creation of patrol names, slogans, and chants. These activities encouraged creativity, collaboration, and early leadership development among students.
This marks the beginning of a new movement at OOW - one that will inspire young leaders through service, teamwork, responsibility, and character building. 💫

The Investiture Ceremony 2026–27 of Our Own High School was held virtually on 8th May 2026 under the inspiring theme, “Ad Astra – Surpassing the Stars.” The solemn and vibrant ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council, reaffirming the school’s commitment to nurturing leadership, responsibility, and service. The programme began with a prayer led by Ms. Anitha Nair, Vice Principal, invoking wisdom and strength for the young leaders. The event highlighted the diverse Student Council structure, including Academic, Cultural, Discipline, Environment, Innovation & Technology, Media & PR, Sports, Wellbeing, and House Councils. A significant moment was the administration of the Oath of Office by Principal Dr. Anjuli Murthy, who encouraged students to lead with integrity, compassion, and vision. The ceremony concluded on an inspiring note as the student leaders pledged to uphold the school motto, “Lead Kindly Light,” while striving for excellence beyond boundaries.

“Family is where life begins and love never ends.”
The school commemorated the International Day of Families on 15 May 2026 with warmth and reflection, bringing together 59 parents from KG to Grade 12. The programme commenced with a welcome by Head of Council – Senior School, Edwin George, who highlighted the family as the cornerstone of love, guidance, and character. A prayer led by Herman Sir and a soulful Quran recitation created a serene ambience for the gathering.
A highlight of the event was the heartfelt address by student leaders Edwin George, Mohammed Taha, and Nethan Mascarenhas, who shared inspiring reflections on the role of parents and teachers in shaping their journeys. The Family Wisdom Wall added meaning to the celebration through thoughtful messages and life lessons. Ms. Farha Shaikh and Principal Dr. Anjuli Murthy emphasized the importance of strong family-school partnerships in nurturing confident and compassionate learners.
