What did this DCT graduate do after earning a diploma? Here's where she went next.

For alumna Nimrah Ijaz, graduating from Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) was the start of a new chapter.

That’s because she continued her studies at Edinburgh Napier University (ENU). Along the way, she completed two internships, earned two promotions, and changed jobs. Three years later, she graduated with distinction.

She was also among the first DCT graduates to progress to a Bachelor's degree at ENU after completing her Advanced Diploma. Today, this pathway is available to every DCT graduate.

We are proud to celebrate how far she has come and even more excited to see where she goes next.

Some volunteered behind the scenes in guest management, registration, and ushering, helping keep things running smoothly.

Before classes begin, there’s a lot to get familiar with.

That means new advisors, new classmates, and even new routines. That’s exactly what orientation is for.

Over three days, our first-year students were welcomed into life at Dubai College of Tourism. There, they met their academic advisors who will support them throughout the year, and started getting familiar with their programmes, classmates, and campus.

They also heard directly from hospitality and events professionals and stepped outside the classroom for a cultural experience to understand how the industry works up close.

A busy few days, and a strong start to the year ahead.
