Without it, there is no life or happiness.’ We High Star Contracting LLC being a socially-responsible contracting company, along with DEWA remains fully committed to applying health and safety standards, according to the best global practices, including the Integrated Management Systems Policy which has established a culture of health, safety, and environment in all its sectors and operations. We (HSC) also raise awareness of health and safety in society. This supports the UAE Vision 2021, to make the UAE the best country in the world.

Safety culture and ideas were being shared along with pledge. Activities and completions related to safety were held and prizes were distributed. Activities such as tree plantation, safety poster preparation, emergency safety drill were organized along with poetry, story telling, art of living and food diet talks.

CONDUCT DURING ADVERSE CONDITIONS

When thunderstorms hit:
• Avoid using your phone and electronic devices
• Do not stand next to telephone poles, electricity posts or thick trees
• Avoid standing in high areas
• Do not enter open or exposed areas
• Keep away from metals and steel materials
• Keep away from the beach, wet areas and water pools

Do's and Don'ts during a thunderstorm:
• Unplug the power supply for home appliances to protect them from the passage of a thunderbolt through the electric current.
• Move immediately to the nearest building or to your car to guarantee a safe haven.
• Avoid standing under trees and electricity poles.
• Avoid working or standing in upland areas or on the roofs of buildings under construction.
• Lightning may cause fire. Prepare the appropriate firefighting equipment.
• If you are away from a safe place during a thunderstorm, the risk of being hit by a thunderbolt is higher.
• If you're in an open space during a thunderstorm, avoid using your mobile phone unless it is absolutely necessary.
• Stay away from windows and metal doors.
• If you hear a call for evacuation through the media or competent security authorities, conform immediately and make sure you and your family are safe.
• When driving your car during heavy rainfall, turn on your vehicle's emergency flasher and lights. Reduce speed and do not overtake another vehicle. Leave enough distance between vehicles. Park your vehicle completely off the road if necessary.
• Drive with extreme caution on the roads for fear of landslides or limited visibility.

Good health and safety training reduces risks, prevent accidents and ill health arriving from work activities.
The essential element of the company’s safety system is the knowledge and attitude of employees and this demands proper training in the basics of health and safety as well as specific training for individual tasks.
Considering the importance of safety at the workplace, the management of High Star Contracting LLC has planned the ‘Safety Evangelists’ training programme and sponsored for the betterment as well as to bring safety awareness among the employees of all categories.

We are pleased to announce the news of a new project being awarded in Sharjah. We are the first Contracting Company to enter in this area for building construction.

We would be soon starting the Construction of Sharjah Waterfront City (SWFC) - Blue Bay Walk at Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah.

Bluebay Walk Apartments is situated in the waterfront City, Sharjah with Arabian Gulf lying on its western border and Umm Al Quwain lying directly on its northern side. Sharjah WFC site is located in close proximity to Hamriyah free zone, airport, and other key attractions. It is simply accessible from the Emirates Road, Ittihad Road, and the Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.

This project comprises of 4 Blocks, which are as follows:
