HSO (Health and Safety Officer) in Labor Camp Accommodation is mandatory for Dubai. Under Dubai Municipality standards and public health laws, camp operators and employers must appoint an EIAC-accredited, certified HSO to manage safety, hygiene, and emergency readiness on-site.

Key HSO Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the labor camp follows Dubai Municipality (DM) and civil defense rules.
Hygiene and Sanitation: Monitor clean living conditions, proper waste disposal, and clean water access.
Fire and Life Safety: Check fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and evacuation plans.
Risk Assessments: Identify daily hazards in shared rooms, kitchens, and recreation areas.

Certification and Training

Training Course: Candidates must complete an approved HSO training course covering municipal standards (such as DM-EHS-CR02 and DM-HSD-GU131-CSLA2). [1]
Accreditation: Certificates are issued by accredited bodies like TSI Quality Services under Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) and Dubai Municipality.
