He ﷺ came with nothing but the truth and left with nothing but mercy. He carried the weight of an entire ummah on his shoulders and still made time to smile at a child, check on a neighbour, and remember those who had no one to remember them.

He ﷺ cried for us, for an ummah he had not yet met, asking Allah عزوجل to forgive us.

And we are that ummah.

How fortunate are we to be the people he ﷺ loved before he ever saw our faces.

12th Rabi-ul-Awwal marks the day our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent to us, a mercy to all of mankind.

"And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds." Qur'an 21:107

His character, his patience, his compassion, his justice, still guide us today. The best way to honor this day is to revive his sunnah in our daily lives, in how we speak, how we treat others, and how we worship Allah.

What felt like a delay was actually protection.

We plan. We rush. We stress over every minute that does not go the way we intended. We see the detour as a loss, the interruption as a setback, the slowness as a failure.

But Allah عزوجل sees the whole picture. Every single second of it.

The moment that frustrated you might be the moment that saved you. The door that closed might have been keeping you from something you cannot see. The person who slowed you down might have been placed there by Allah عزوجل on purpose.

وَعَسَىٰ أَن تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ

Perhaps you dislike something and it is good for you.
Surah Al Baqarah 2:216.

Allah عزوجل is Al Hakeem. The Most Wise. And He does not allow things to happen randomly. Every delay. Every detour. Every moment that did not go to plan — it was always in His plan.

Next time life slows you down — say Alhamdulillah before you understand why. Because the why usually comes later.

You cannot protect their imaan by just saying do not watch that. You have to give them something better to belong to.

Our children will be influenced. The question is by who.

Do not only make dua for your child’s grades and career.

Make dua for the things that will matter long after the results are out and the job is secured.

Ask Allah عزوجل for a heart that has a private relationship with Him. One that exists even when no one is watching and no one is reminding.

Ask for a heart that returns. Because our children will make mistakes. May they never believe they are too far from Allah عزوجل to come back.

Ask for discernment. So when the whole world calls something normal, they still know when something is not right.

Ask for good friends. The kind who make goodness easier, not embarrassing.

Ask for imaan that survives adulthood. That survives university. That survives the years when nobody is reminding them to pray.

The greatest success is not raising a child the world is impressed by. It is raising a child whose heart never truly leaves Allah عزوجل.

From Allah. For Allah. To Allah.

This is the entire story of a believer’s life in three words.

We did not choose to arrive. Allah عزوجل brought us here. Every breath, every heartbeat, every moment of this life is from Him.

And everything we do in between, the salah, the dua, the striving, the returning after every mistake, is for Him.

And when this life ends, we return to the One who created us. Back to where we truly belong.

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Indeed we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we shall return. Surah Al Baqarah 2:156.

May Allah عزوجل make us from those who live this truth fully. Ameen. 🌙

Allah عزوجل does not need you. You need Him.

And yet He guided you to Islam. Not because you deserved it. Not because you earned it. As a favour from Him to you.

قُل لَّا تَمُنُّوا عَلَيَّ إِسْلَامَكُمْ بَلِ اللَّهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ هَدَاكُمْ لِلْإِيمَانِ

“Do not consider your Islam a favor to me. Rather Allah has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith.” Surah Al Hujurat 49:17.

Every time you pray — that is His favour upon you.

Every time you fast — that is His favour upon you.

Every time your heart turns back to Him after a mistake — that is His favour upon you.

You brought nothing. He gave everything.

SubhanAllah. Alhamdulillah. Allahu Akbar.

May Allah عزوجل keep us grateful for the greatest gift He ever gave us — our deen. Ameen. 🌙
