MIS Academy Founded by Pr. Starting September 2017, MIS Academy will run a certification program based on the European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery standards.

Arnaud Wattiez, MIS Academy brings together world-renowned experts to advance Minimally Invasive Surgery through courses, master classes, and congresses, with opportunities to earn GESEA Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates. This Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgical Education and Assessment (GESEA) programme innovates in that it provides a learning path outside the operating room. It offers a validated system for credentialing skills prior to professionals entering a clinical apprentice-tutor surgical training. The program recognizes three levels of competences: the Bachelor in Endoscopy, the Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon (MIGS), and the Master Level. This third level paves the way to two different diplomas: the Laparoscopic Pelvic Surgeon and the Master in Hysteroscopy. Each diploma comprises of an endoscopic training phase, followed by a surgical competence one. The training phase combines theory with practical exercises. It is sanctioned by an exam and gives way to a certificate. Once complemented by proof of surgical competence, the certificate gives way to the corresponding GESEA diploma. One must fulfil the criteria of each level prior to progressing to the next one.
