I find great joy in being able to create and innovate, especially for and with my loved ones. 😊 Recently, my husband returned home after a long trip , and our kids and I wanted to surprise him with something special and memorable.

After some thought, I decided to work on a ceramic plate 🎨🍽️, while the little ones excitedly chose to paint their favorite cartoon characters 🎨🐰. As we got started, I realized that the end result was turning out different from what I had originally envisioned.

This experience reminded me of the immense value in living in the present moment , staying fully engaged, and following your heart ❤️.

As a coach, I always encourage my clients to embrace the present, seize the now, and let go of their rational thinking to trust the natural flow of life. It is in those moments of surrender that true magic happens ✨.

Let’s look at a few key dimensions of effective communication, which in turn, is the bedrock of any good relationship, personal or professional. Over the next few posts, I will touch upon these dimensions to help us all get better in communicating.
The first facet that I have picked is ‘Building a Bridge’. For any relationship to blossom, through rough and smooth, it is important to build a meeting ground between two persons. All relationships are very different and so are the situations, but one thing that all of them have in common is the need for a sound foundation. That building block is the bridge that brings people on the same page, a meeting ground that builds trust for the future.
Being in the same position creates a kind of emotional closeness that helps smoothen the rough edges in times when the relationship is going through any stress. For example, banter from a person I already have an understanding with will probably generate a laugh from me. But the same, from a person who I don't know so well, could make me see red! So the difference is that bridge, that makes the communication work.
I hope you all will continue to build bridges in your lives with people close to you so that you never lose your closeness, no matter how big the conflict.

Not every emotion is conveyed in words.
Some of the underlying feelings are expressed by facial expressions or body language. Often, we miss these vital clues to unsaid emotions because we fail to observe these fine nuances of communication. Of course, there are cultural differences which at times make it difficult for people to judge body language or facial expressions.
Be it an angry look, a frown, a giggle, a wink, a surreptitious sign, or even a soft smile, all of these expressions are important. Similarly, the voice tone also plays an important part in deciphering the innermost feelings.
Despite all of these subtleties, the primary point is that for good communication skills, it is crucial to recognize these priceless clues to decipher the unsaid feeling. If we miss these clues, we could be getting a totally different message than what was intended.
