The founder, Mirela Sula is my hero. Her backstory is gripping (rising like a phoenix when she was at her lowest monetarily, psychologically etc) and now this amazing global network. If I do not win, I am still elated that she has honoured me by nominating me. And that I have had the chance to connect with Mirela!

I had the pleasure of addressing the Grade 12 class of girls at Nord Anglia. We covered everything from the importance of financial literacy to the merits of building a strong network. The future is bright, but it is also confusing. Based on the intelligent questions posed by the group, I look forward to seeing them soar.

Panelists, Amira Rashad (BulkWhiz) , Dana Baki (LunchOn) and Lamia Tabbara-Bibi (Little Thinking Minds) gave insights covering everything from fundraising to the challenges related to finding the right talent.

The American School of Dubai Middle School students have the opportunity to choose ‘Pursuits.’ They last 45mins and are not for credit. They have about 75 options each season x 5 seasons per school year.

Students can choose from a myriad of activities, such as guitar jamming, gardening, handball, coding and as of this week ‘Becoming an Entrepreneur!’

I have the pleasure of assisting Gavin Chamberlain (MS Social Studies) as we take students through modules spanning business models, raising funds and marketing your business idea. My contribution will include bringing in real life entrepreneurs each week to speak to the group. How amazing is that!
