Some of the materials we work with have been patiently waiting for years before finding their place in a blend.
At Nuhoud, we believe time is one of the finest ingredients in perfumery.

Some views make you stop and admire nature.
Some fragrances make you appreciate the moment even more.
Even in the warmth, Malaysian Jusk felt incredibly comfortable to wear. It never became heavy or overwhelming. Instead, it felt airy, calming, and effortless, almost encouraging you to take a deeper breath and simply enjoy where you are.
Sometimes, that’s exactly what a fragrance should do.
Welcome to the journey behind Tamed Ghalia.
This is not just another perfume. It is a blend I have been developing through months of testing, maceration, and refinement using some of the world’s finest natural materials.
The blend contains vintage oud oils, deer musk, ambergris, rose, and many other carefully selected ingredients, each chosen for the character it brings. Now, time becomes one of the most important ingredients as the blend continues to mature and evolve.
My goal has always been simple: to create a Ghalia that stays true to its traditional roots while being beautifully balanced and enjoyable to wear.
Thank you for following this journey. More updates on Tamed Ghalia will be shared soon.

Before leaving for Japan, I made this one for myself.
I called it Malaysian Jusk, a blend built around a vintage Malaysian oud oil, jasmine, and deer musk.
Over the past few weeks, it has been my constant companion. It opens with a beautiful green freshness, then slowly settles into something smooth, powdery, and incredibly comforting. The deer musk and orris butter gently round every edge, making it feel more like a part of your skin than a perfume.
Some creations are made to be shared.
This one was made simply because I wanted to wear it.
This tiny 1 ml sample has been with me throughout my journey in Japan.
It’s still very young, and that’s what makes it so exciting.
Even at this stage, the dry down is already beginning to reveal its character. The powdery warmth of the musk slowly emerges and blends beautifully with the rose and florals, creating something that feels incredibly soft, intimate, and almost part of your own skin.
Every time I wear it, I find myself bringing my wrist back to my nose. That, to me, is always a good sign.
What makes me even more excited is knowing that this is only the beginning. The musk, ambergris, oud, and the rest of the natural materials still have months, and perhaps years, of aging ahead of them.
I’m enjoying every step of this journey, and I can’t wait to see where it leads.
If I had to describe this Ghalia in one sentence, I would say this:
We’ve all smelled floral oud before, but have you ever smelled floral musk?
That is what makes this creation so special to me. It isn’t just floral, and it isn’t just animalic. It’s a balance where the florals soften the animalic notes, while the musk, oud, ambergris, and other precious materials give it depth and character.
Even though it’s still very young and built with some of perfumery’s most powerful natural ingredients, I’ve been wearing and testing it throughout Japan. What surprised me most is that it never feels overwhelming. Instead, it keeps drawing people in.
It’s one of those rare scents that makes you want to smell it again and again, discovering something new every time.
This is still only the beginning.
One of the things I enjoy most about working with natural materials is seeing how each one reveals its character over time.
In this video, I opened a Siberian musk pod, separated the musk grains, and prepared them for maceration in sandalwood oil.
Every musk pod is different. The aroma, texture, and character can vary from one pod to another. This particular one had a beautiful warmth to it, with a cacao-like quality that immediately stood out to me.
Rather than using heat or forcing the process, the musk is left to rest in sandalwood oil. Over the coming months, the oil will slowly absorb the character of the musk, creating a natural maceration that can later be used in perfumery.
This part of the process requires patience. There are no shortcuts. Just time, observation, and allowing the materials to develop at their own pace.
I’ll revisit this maceration in the future and share how it evolves.
