Another Sri Lankan oud distillation underway.

And a little look at what’s coming next, some really high-grade wild Sri Lankan oud. Only six hours in water and these pieces are already sinking. The quality speaks for itself.

I know our oils tend to sell out quickly, and I’m sorry I can’t always keep enough available. This time I’m doing my best to source as much beautiful vintage and wild Sri Lankan material as I can, so I can keep more of these oils available directly for you. ❤️

Three months of maturation, and Tamed Ghalia is becoming exactly what I wanted it to be.

The animalic edge of the musk has disappeared, leaving behind this beautiful powdery, almost musk-ketone character. Everything feels softer, smoother, and finally… tamed.

Time really is an ingredient.

Siberian Deer Musk.

Slowly macerated in pure sandalwood oil, allowing the musk to soften, deepen and become one with the sandalwood over time.

Whenever I need a musk tincture without waiting years for it to mature, I always reach for my vintage Tibetan musk.

Thanks to its age, many of the sharper animalic facets have already softened, allowing the beautiful warm, powdery character of the musk to shine through.

It’s one of my favorite tinctures to work with.
