Honored to be master trainer conducting a workshop for Operating Theatre Scrub staff and OT Technician first time as pre-conference workshop in any conference under the topic of " Empowering OT Nurses - Recent Advances in Laparoscopic Surgery & the role of OT staff" held at OT Complex, Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi as part of pre-conference workshop " 6th COLOCON 2022" Colorectal Disease Patients' Welfare Association (CDPWA) on 20th Dec, 2022
The participants of workshop were facilitated with scientific topics like (surgeon's expectation, Time management, Communication in OR, Team work) and an extensive hands-on session on essential Laparoscopic surgery related devices was conducted together with a feel of Hand & Eye coordination exercises on laparoscopic simulators to feel the concept of MIS approach.
The attendees enjoyed and feel motivated from the opportunity in updating and upgrading the skills to cope with their day-to-day role and responsibilities.

At the occasion of COLOCON 2022. A pre-conference Hands-on workshop "Advanced Laparoscopic Skills & G.I Stapler" was conducted at the OT complex Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau, CHK & DMC, Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi on 19th Dec, 2022 under the leadership of Prof Amjad Siraj Memon, Dr. Mumtaz Maher, Dr Sajida Quraishi, Prof Farhan Zaheer & Dr Sara Kazi, Dr Khursheed Samoo and his team
We organized 10 laparoscopic simulation stations for group of 30+ surgeons to practice basic laparoscopic skills, lap suturing, lap stapling, lap dissection and other exercises.
In addition stations for conventional & laparoscopic stapling was provided detailing the concept of staplers & stapling highlighting selection of appropriate staple & stapler to acquire optimal hemostasis for a better patient outcome.
Over all the Laparoscopic & GI stapling hands-on sessions were found of great interest and benefit by all the attendees having a satisfactory feedback of meeting their expectations.
