Excellent Kids Playgroup takes place in Town Square every Thursday and in Motor City (waiting list) every Monday. The aim of the group is to prepare children for a school/nursery setting, exposing them to structured activities; each activity with the intention to strengthen fine motor skills, gross motor skills, hand eye co-ordination and all the skills children will need for learning at school. In the latter part of the session, the children have the opportunity to play with a range of Montessori toys; choosing their own activities and socialising with their peers. As an experienced teacher, and having taught in a lovely school in Dubai for the last 5 years, I am aware of the skills children need to flourish once they get to school and I am hoping my playgroups provide children with the skills to successfully transition to the school environment.

1. The child could call out the sound as they pop.
2. The tutor calls the sound and the child pops it.
3. The tutor pops the sound and the child says what they have popped.
4. The tutor pops a variety of sounds and the child writes words that include those sounds.
