Today, I had the pleasure of receiving a trophy in recognition of my Advance HE Fellowship, an achievement I earned in December 2022. While the award celebrates professional recognition in higher education, for me it represents something much more personal.
Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a teacher. That dream led me to attend a pedagogical high school, continue my studies across countries and disciplines, and ultimately dedicate my career to teaching, research, and supporting students' growth.
As I held this trophy, I could not help but think of my father. He always believed in the value of education, hard work, and perseverance. I know he would have been proud to see this moment.
After more than a decade in higher education, I remain as passionate about teaching as I was when I first imagined myself standing in front of a classroom. The journey continues, and I am grateful for every student, colleague, mentor, and family member who has been part of it.

This space brings together my academic and professional journey as an academic, media and communication scholar, researcher, author, translator, and intercultural communication specialist.

On the website, I have included my biography, teaching experience, research interests, publications, books, translated works, conference presentations, academic leadership, industry connections, and digital education initiatives.

Creating this website was also a moment of reflection for me. It reminded me how much my journey has been shaped by different countries, languages, cultures, students, colleagues, research projects, books, and professional collaborations.

From Albania to Italy, and now to the United Arab Emirates, my work has always been guided by the same passion: communication as a bridge between people, cultures, knowledge, and social impact.

This book was born from my years of teaching public speaking and communication to international and multilingual students. I have seen many students with brilliant ideas remain silent because they were afraid of making mistakes, afraid of their accent, afraid of being judged, or afraid that their English was not “perfect” enough.
I wrote this workbook for them.
For every student who feels nervous before standing in front of the class.
For every student who has something important to say but doubts their voice.
For every international student who speaks with courage in a second or third language.
For every young person learning that confidence is not something we are born with, but something we build step by step.
The central message of this book is very close to my heart:
You do not need perfect English to be a powerful speaker. You need preparation, structure, clarity, courage, and practice.
This workbook includes practical exercises, speech templates, reflection activities, peer feedback forms, presentation checklists, and guidance on speaking anxiety, accent, pronunciation, PowerPoint, group presentations, research presentations, Q&A, online presentations, and responsible use of AI tools for practice.
As an educator, linguist, and communication scholar, I believe deeply that every student deserves to feel that their voice matters.
