التقطنا من مرصد السديم للفلك هذه الصورة لاقتران كوكبي الزهرة والمشتري. تحدث ظاهرة الاقتران عندما تقترن الأجسام الفلكية من بعضها البعض بشكل ظاهري في السماء.

Enjoy this amazing image taken from Al Sadeem Observatory showing the conjunction of Jupiter and Venus.

Conjunction phenomena happen when celestial bodies appear close to each other in the sky.

You can observe the conjunction using telescopes or with the naked eye.

⁨ من مرصد السديم بأبو ظبي، زرنا سديم كاليفورنيا الشهير والمعروف أيضًا باسم NGC 1499 or Sh2-220.

يُعرف سديم كاليفورنيا بهذا الاسم لأن صورته في الضوء المرئي تشبه ولاية كاليفورنيا بالولايات المتحدة.

يبعُد سديم كاليفورنيا حوالي 1000 سنة ضوئية عن الأرض ويقع في كوكبة حامل رأس الغول.

أحد المعالم المذهلة هي النجمة الواضحة أعلى يسار الصورة وتُسمى منكب وهي نجمة شديدة اللمعان وتفوق درجة حرارتها درجة حرارة الشمس بست مرات!

نجمة منكب هي النجمة المسؤولة عن إشعاعات الغازات المحيطة بها والتي تُشكل سديم كاليفورنيا الباهر.

From the heart of Al Sadeem Observatory, we pointed our lense to the famous California Nebula.

The name comes from the resemblance of the nebula seen in visible light with the state of California in the United States.

The California Nebula, also known as NGC 1499 or Sh2-220, is located in the constellation Perseus at about 1000 light years away.

One key feature is the extra bright star in the upper left corner of the image called Xi Persei or Menkib.

Menkib is a huge star six times hotter than our own sun, it emits an enormous amount of energy producing the emission we see from gasses around it.

اكتشف العلماء أن عددًا من المجرات في السلسلة يتشارك في نفس الحركة عبر الكون. واضح في الصورة أيضًا عدد من المجرات التي تتفاعل وتتصادم معًا ومجرات أخرى ليست جزءًا من السلسلة ولكنها تبدو كذلك بفعل تواجدها ظاهريًا في مجال الصورة.

Using the smart telescope Vespera, we captured this panorama of the Markarian Chain. A chain of elliptical galaxies in the constellation Virgo.

Scientists discovered that some of the galaxies in the chain actually have a common movement in space.

In the image, we see a number of galaxies interacting and colliding together, and others that don’t belong to the chain but simply foreground galaxies.

تحتوي هذه الصورة على ثلاث مجرات حلزونية في كوكبة الأسد ولهذا تُعرف باسم ثلاثية الأسد

يتواجد الثلاثي على بُعد 30 مليون سنة ضوئية عن الأرض

من المميز في ثلاثية الأسد أن لكل مجرة زاوية ميل مختلفة بالنسبة للأرض، الأمر الذي يعطي صورة أشمل عند دراسة هذا النوع من المجرات.

Not one, or two, but three galaxies visible in this stunning image captured from Abu Dhabi desert.

This marvelous trio known as the Leo Triplet are located at the constellation Leo some 30 million lightyears away from Earth!

Each galaxy is oriented in a different direction with respect to Earth, which gives astronomers more information when studying spiral galaxies.
