Attain Outdoor Community & St George’s Crypt

Last week I was with the Attain Outdoor Community providing an outdoor walking and well being day for clients & staff from St George’s Crypt.

We headed to ‘The Mighty’ Pen y Ghent, in the Yorkshire Dales, on a fantastic summers day.

As with any group participants had different levels of experience and ability but the aim of the day was to just be outdoors.
It’s always great to see the wellbeing effects the growth outdoors can have on people’s mood, outlook, willingness to bond and converse and this group was amazing to work with.

Helping each other along with banter and encouragement was soon the theme of the day.

We spoke about the proven mental well being benefits of being in the outdoor environments and discussed future plans.

These are the clients that Attain Outdoor Community love to work with! 🙌

Your Mountain Adventure & Dave Hunt are delighted to have played a small part in helping Methley United Under 16’s make their summer trip to Holland.

The team and parents completed the route of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, in mixed conditions, to raise some of the funding for the trip.

Wow, wow, wow!

Up and at ‘em for the Summer Solstice Sunrise on Ingleborough walk, and what a sunrise 😍

Conditions couldn’t be any better for our walk up to the summit of Ingleborough, in the Yorkshire Dales.

So good to catch up with so many of the Come Outside Community 💚🖤

Join us for the Summer Solstice 2026 on Ingleborough, Yorkshire Dales.

Ascending very early on the morning of Sunday 21st June, we will make our way to the summit plateau (in darkness) to view the sunrise of the longest day.

The event will be led by a qualified and experienced Mountain Leader.

Our route will be circular with an opportunity to enjoy the Dales landscape on our descent.

Cost - £40 per person

Earlier this past week we welcomed a group of from the stressful world of hospitality to West Yorkshire,

We were providing a session of paddlesports followed by nature therapy as part of a day provided by

Paddle sports involved participants focusing on staying on their craft on the tree lined canal and nature therapy periods of intentional observation.
We looked at introducing a number of techniques which can help reduce stress and improve self care.

It was a pleasure to provide the day, for The Lost Explorer, who understand the value of self care for those in the often stressful hospitality industry.
