🎅 Father Christmas visited Morkel Cottage Daycare this week & the kids were so surprised! We're always super excited to share some festive joy with the dedicated teachers on the last day of school before their much-deserved December holidays.

Thank you to Hotspots2c's staff, our wonderful booking agents, travellers and supporters who either contributed by booking a Hotspots2c tour, gift donations or funding our Tools-4-School campaign.

The kids could not believe it when they heard the bus parked at their gate and Santa walked through the door!

A special thanks to "Tannie Yvonne" and NG Kerk Strand-Noord for the support during the year to keep the day care running smoothly and Helderberg High School for the pretty gift boxes for the kids. Our aim is to motivate S.A. schools and the youth to implement dance sport as an ongoing extra mural activity program in schools (public or private).
Many learners do not participate in sports or other activities at school, therefore fitness levels can easily be depleted, resulting in unhealthy lifestyle, unproductive behavior, lack of interaction and untapped talent.

We want learners to be productive, active, motivated and happy. Ballroom dancing stimulates all of the above.

Dance Sport has become one of the most popular sports in the world and the benefits of our program are endless. It boosts fitness and stamina, builds self confidence, discipline, character and creates an outlet for self expression.
Ballroom and Latin dancing also improve balance, speed, endurance, flexibility and agility for other sport e.g. Athletics, Rugby, Tennis, Golf, Karate etc.

A clean, fun and healthy activity whereby students can participate in dance championships with other schools and proudly represent their school for Provincial and Inter-school titles and medals.

John Murray Dance Studio specializes in Ballroom and Latin American dancing, teaching 17 different dances in 2 world syllabi (American and International dance styles) affiliated with (SADTA - SADF) and WDC (World dance council).

We travel to schools to offer dance training, thus, for the safety of the learners they don’t have to leave the school premises or commute far distances to obtain valuable coaching.

On Friday the 20th of March a group of learners and friends of Helderberg left on an epic adventure to complete the Outeniqua Trail. They started at Millwood Hut and walked to Rondebossie Hut. From Rondebossie they summit-ed Jonkersberg and headed to Diepwalle Hut. From Diepwalle they walked to Fisantehoek Hut and they concluded the hike the next day at Harkerville Hut. Amazing experiences were had by all; lessons were learnt and a sense of "normality" was regained amidst a global pandemic.
