Congratulation to Thomas la Grange, a grade 6 in Kommetjie Primary, who auditioned to join the AAB Summer School for ballet in New York. In true Thomas style, he got a 45% bursary.

This is an incredible opportunity for this young dancer but the fees and flights are currently standing in our way to making this dream come true. It's an incredible 5-week program, which focus's on all aspects of a ballet performance. From ballet, acting, music, and incorporating different dance styles.

The additions were hosted in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, the USA, Canada, Mexico and South Africa.

His Mother, Collette, has setup a back a buddy campaign to help him reach his dreams.

Our Outreach Team have decided to raise funds for the Reach for a Dream Foundation. We are selling stickers for R20 to come to school in slippers ( and pj's if you want!) on Friday, 5 May. We are wearing slippers to show our support to terminally ill children who spend most of their lives in slippers, as they are often too sick to go outside. Please support this very worthy cause!

The Intersen Eco club have been learning about kelp ecology with KPS parent and marine biologist, Erika Brown. Last week they had an outing to the intertidal zone and were lucky enough to see a family of 6 otters! They found plenty of lifeforms amongst the rocks and tasted some kelp tea. Thank you, Erika, for giving your time to enrich our learners.
