Aisha Zouheir, Grade 12, is this week's Monday Moment! Her peers describe her as a "kind, selfless soul" who always encourages, supports, and uplifts those around her.
Aisha is a library monitor and enjoys this responsibility. As an avid reader and someone who likes to interact with various people from different grades, she appreciates the space the library provides within the school. Aisha is also in touch with her artistic side. She takes art as a subject and finds it meaningful because it offers an escape for her. She has always had a passion for it and mentions that it is a "cool hobby too." Aisha goes out of her way to try to be kind to everyone she interacts with. She believes that people can make a difference if they show others a little bit of kindness. It may not always be a big difference, but it is a change.
Aisha's selflessness and willingness to be kind to others is inspirational. Perhaps, by learning to adopt some of her ideas, we can all make a difference in someone's day and learn to appreciate our interactions with other people.

WGHS staff help raise funds on Flip Flop Friday!
This month our staff members have chosen to support Read to Rise. This is a non profit organization which aims to address the troubling reality that young children in our communities are not reading as much as they require for their educational development.
We decided to take full advantage of the summery weather while we still can and rock our flip flops!
Staff were encouraged to donate R15 or more to this worthy cause.
