We would like to thank each and every one of the students for bringing their vibrant energy and incredible talent to the event!

The Rising Stars Picnic Concert
On the 11th of March we came together as a JAMFAM to show our support for the launch of our crowdfunding page for the Rising Stars Program, which was created in 2017.
Learners from Wynberg Girls’ High School, Livingstone High School, SACS, Springfield Convent Senior and Junior Schools, Oakhurst Primary School, Rustenburg Junior School and Camps Bay High School put on a sunset concert for friends and family to raise funds to sustain the Rising Stars Program this year.
Thanks to the generous donations from our community, we raised R9855. This allows us to purchase new equipment for our Rising Stars hub at Livingstone High School! Thank you to everyone who spread the word about our concert through social media and to friends and family!
It goes without saying that we are incredibly proud of our students for putting on a stellar performance after only a few weeks of rehearsal after the summer holiday. If the Picnic Concert is an indication of the year to come, we have no doubt our students will perform phenomenally at the upcoming Marimba Jam Eisteddfod - which is the largest annual Marimba Band Competition in the Western Cape 🤩🤩

Hi there , when is the registration starts?
Children/teens experience loads of stress and anxiety without us noticing . Exams , COVID , bullying , peer pressure etc. have a huge impact on your child. Watch your children for behavioral changes and take them seriously. In light of this I am starting a Crafting therapy group every Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 5pm at The Crafters Cafe No 53 Second Avenue Harfield Village. On Wednesday I will have a group ( max 8 ) for 9 to 12 years old and on Thursday for 13 to 18. This will not be intensive therapy but we will use the time not only to craft but to focus on issues like
Peer pressure
Bullying
Respect for people
Setting boundaries
Self image and self respect
Social media ( negative and positive impact )
Everything will be confidential and " What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"
The cost is R100 per sepossion and I will give a discount for those wanting to book for the 6 sessions. Before all the psychologists jump in I did a Masters in Socialwork at UCT ages ago abnd more recently the SACAP counselling certificate.I also spent 10 years as a Trauma counsellor at Rondebosch Police Station.
