Snapology of Ekurhuleni

We had the honour and privelage to be part of the NG Kerk Dalview's Sunday School the last few weeks. Our theme was the armour of God and each week we focussed on a different weapon or aspect and gave the children an opportunity to create something with Lego that stood out for them. Thank you to NG Kerk Dalview for this great initiative and making Snapology part of it. Here are some of the kids' creative works.

Like so many other progressive learning institutions, Snapology expands our curriculum to include Art education. We are proud to say that all of our programs focus on STEM & STEAM learning concepts.

At Snapology, we understand that children are meant to learn through play. When children are actively engaged in hands-on, interactive learning activities, their creativity flourishes and they show a greater interest in education.

4 years ago I offered the first Robotics workshop. I was nervous but also excited about my new challenge, and it has been so worth it!

I believe in education as a mean to grow and become the best versions of ourselves. Education in all its forms, formal as schools, but also engaging in activities that inspire us, like reading books, traveling, talking and collaborating with people for different backgrounds and different ideas than our own, all of these give us a bigger perspective in life.

Every time I see kids excited about learning, experimenting, collaborating or like I heard today "Hey! I have an idea! how about WE do..." my heart jumps of joy.
I feel so honored to be able to provide this programs to our community, grateful with the trust parents have put on me, my team and our programs.

We had an incredible time in our Robot Rescue Mission activity today.
The kids are making great progress preparing for their final mission in two weeks time where they will need to build attachments and code their robots to complete various tasks to help save the city.
On the videos they removed a fallen tree from a house and moved a chemical tower safely to the safe base to avoid a chemical spill.
 
Well done to all the little robot engineers for your hard work and dedication.

Today we continue our Robot Rescue Mission. Our learners must use their robot to:
-Deliver food and water
-Remove debris
-Rescue a man stuck in his car
-Remove a tree that fell on a house
-Safely move a chemical tower without spilling
-Place a ground sensor beacon in a safe place to detect and monitor soil stability.
All this in 2 and a half minutes.
Today we do planning and testing to prepare for the ultimate challenge

In our Junior Engineering classes children will learn Engineering concepts including gears, pullies, axels and all these work together to make machines function. They also learn to follow instructions, how to work in teams and improve critical thinking. The younger we expose our children to new concepts, the better they understand and learn to practically apply these skills practically. Do whats best for your little one and give them the advantage.
