Posted • .schoonbee We will always remember Mpumi for the hero he was to the South African rowing community. He brought a wealth of experience, banter, and all-round upliftment of the sport.

But Mpumi wasn't only a hero to us, he was a hero to his family too. With his passing, his family lost a crucial provider.

On the 12th of November, let's show that despite his absence, his power lives on. Let's play our part in , and raise funds in support of the Geza family.

It is with great sadness and with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a true rowing icon Mpumi Geza💔.

The name Mpumi means "success and prosperity" and he truly did live up to his name through his major successes in the rowing world. He was an absolute pillar to Tuks Rowing, University Rowing as well as Rowing South Africa.

Rest easy Mpumi, you will be sorely missed 🙏🏻.
