🌟 Parenting Tip for the School Holidays 🌟

Keep it simple, mama! 💛
You don’t need a packed schedule or expensive outings to make the holidays special.

✨ Try:

One fun activity a day (baking, painting, fort-building)

Plenty of free play and rest

Letting kids help with little chores (they love feeling useful!)

Creating a calm “boredom box” with puzzles, books or craft supplies

Kids thrive on connection, not perfection. 💕
A little routine + lots of love = a happy holiday at home.

🎨 DIY PLAY DOUGH AT HOME 🌈
A fun, budget-friendly activity for the holidays!

You’ll need:
🥣 2 cups flour
🧂 1/2 cup salt
💧 1 tbsp oil
🌡️ 2 tbsp cream of tartar (optional but makes it smoother)
1 to 1.5 cups hot water
🌈 Food colouring (optional)

Steps:
1️⃣ Mix flour, salt, oil & cream of tartar in a bowl
2️⃣ Add a few drops of food colouring to the hot water
3️⃣ Slowly pour water into the flour mix and stir
4️⃣ Once cool, knead until soft and smooth

💡 Store in an airtight container — lasts for weeks!

Let the little hands squish, roll, and create! Great for fine motor skills & imagination. 🧠💛

Stuck indoors with energetic little ones? Try this simple, budget-friendly holiday activity to keep those hands busy and minds creating! 🖍️✨

🎲 DIY Cardboard Town
Collect empty boxes, cereal cartons, loo rolls, and bottle tops — and let the kids design their own mini town! Think: houses, shops, traffic lights, trees, cars... the works! 🏠🚦🌳

Add crayons, markers, stickers or paint, and you've got hours of imaginative fun — no screen time required! 😉

Opposite Day at Moyeni Pre-Primary turned the world wonderfully upside down!

There were shirts worn backwards, shoes that didn’t match, pyjamas in the classroom, and plenty of inside-out giggles. Even the teachers joined the fun, proudly rocking opposite shoes and mismatched outfits of their own.

Nothing made sense and that made it all the more fun! A day full of silliness, creativity, and the kind of joyful chaos only little ones (and their teachers) can pull off so perfectly.
