K-12 Christian School located in Flowery Branch, GA accredited by Advanced Ed & ACSI. We were close in proximity, but had different educational approaches.

In the fall of 2016, North Georgia Christian School and Heritage Academy unified to become Lanier Christian Academy. Heritage Academy had been in operation for more than 30 years implementing the University Model. Their students would come to school 3 days per week and work from home during the other 2. North Georgia Christian School had been in operation for over 30 years as well. NGCS was starte

Last night, we had the incredible joy of celebrating our amazing senior athletes. What a special evening it was!

Each of these seniors represent LCA so well. They have given us unforgettable moments, encouraged their teammates, and created a legacy that will last.

More than just athletes, these seniors are leaders, role models, and friends. They have shown what it means to work hard, support one another, and honor God through their talents. We’ve watched them grow into remarkable young men and women, and our hearts are filled with gratitude.

To our seniors: you are deeply loved, and you will be greatly missed. Your presence on the field, course, and track have made LCA a better place. God has truly blessed us with your talents, character, and hearts. As you step into the next chapter of your lives, know that we are cheering you on every step of the way.

Thank you for everything and remember let's finish strong. You are almost there. 💙💚

Tonight is a very special night. Tonight is Spring Sports Senior Night! We want to express how proud we are of our senior athletes. This exceptional group has poured their hearts and souls into their sports, school, and team, and it’s a privilege to honor them this evening. Many of these seniors have paved the way for future athletes, helping to build the programs they are a part of from the ground up. They’ve devoted their entire varsity careers to LCA and have left a lasting legacy. Their hard work has contributed to our success, including multiple state championships, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their dedication. Congratulations to all our seniors! We hope you feel the appreciation and love from everyone who has watched you grow and thrive tonight. Baseball and Golf seniors will be celebrated at 4:15 at Lanier Point Park before the baseball game, Track and Soccer will be celebrated at @7:15 at the Coop in Gainesville before the Varsity boys soccer game. **March Music Matchup - Hymn Hype Edition!** We have a CHAMPION!

Mrs. Grundlock inspired the 5th graders by launching the March Music Matchup Hymn Edition at the beginning of the month.

Each day, they listened to two hymns, engaged in discussions, and cast their votes. They connected their choices with those from classrooms across the USA and Madagascar.

The winning hymn is... "Nothing But the Blood of Jesus"! Composed by Robert Lowry in 1876, this hymn, based on Hebrews 9:22, powerfully highlights Christ's redemptive work on the cross, illustrated by His shed blood and the profound necessity of redemption from sin.

Today, Mrs. Welborn, pranked her 5th grade class! The unsuspecting students were introduced to the brand-new “AquaGuard Flood Safety Program”, designed to prepare them for a simulated school flood emergency.
She kept a straight face as she walked students through the mandatory safety steps:
✅ Review the AquaGuard Flood Safety Plan
✅ Remove shoes and socks (because wet socks are the worst!)
✅ Roll up pants (to keep them dry, of course!)
✅ Stand on chairs to avoid the “rising water”
✅ Simulate swimming motions to “navigate to safety”
Some kids were totally convinced—others were side-eyeing her HARD. But the best part? The moment they realized it was all a joke! The mix of relief, laughter, and mild betrayal was priceless.
10/10—would prank again! Happy April Fools’!

We want to express our gratitude to Mrs. Justina Roberts, also known as Mrs. Coach, for her incredible work in transforming the conference room in the new building. From the carpet to the chairs, she has done an amazing job, and the result looks absolutely fabulous.

Also, take a look at the LCA crest sign that she envisioned for the wall. Mrs. Coach was thrilled to collaborate with the team at Sign Systems in Buford to bring her idea to life. The sign looks fantastic, and we are very thankful for their assistance in making this room top-notch.

Fine Arts Friday is here! Wednesday some of our Fine Arts Students took a field trip. Mrs. Glanzman said, "What a truly perfect day, from start to finish!
We received an extremely informative tour by Brenau University curator of galleries. She engaged the students by getting them curious and asking good questions. We visited 4 galleries on their campus, then after lunch received an incredible pottery workshop held @ the Quinlan Arts Center. Lester led us through hand building and also working on the potter’s wheel. We got his best tips and tricks, and even learned how to clean up the studio to his standards." Thank you to Brenau University and the Quinlan Arts Center for having us. Thank you to Mrs. Glanzman and Mrs. Peck for organizing this field trip and always putting an emphasis on the arts. We appreciate you and all you do for the students.

Before construction begins on the third floor, our D Groups gathered to write Scripture on the floor, covering the space with God’s Word and dedicating it to Him. Just as the Israelites wrote His words on their doorposts, we are claiming this area as God’s territory—a home where His presence dwells. We know that every verse written will be a blessing, a promise, and a declaration that this space belongs to Him. Let the construction begin!

"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." —Psalm 127:1

We are pleased to share that the March SAT scores have been released, and our hearts are filled with pride for Junior Madison Ramsey, who has achieved the highest SAT score in Lanier Christian Academy history—an impressive 1590! This outstanding score places her in the 99th percentile or higher, meaning she has scored better than 99% of other test-takers. This remarkable achievement is a reflection of her hard work and determination, as well as the steadfast support she has received from her family and our faculty. We celebrate this accomplishment together, understanding the effort it entails. We are so very proud of you Madison. We cannot wait to see what your future holds.

During Lightning Literacy Week, students in grades K-8 participated in various activities aimed at fostering a love of reading and writing. Elementary students were encouraged to create and submit bookmarks for the Lightning Literacy Bookmark Contest. There were many excellent entries! Special congratulations to Mallorie Wasserman and Andrew Topham, both in 3rd grade, Hannah Butts in 5th grade, and Margot Seymour in 1st grade, whose designs were selected. Great job, everyone!

Our Story

Lanier Christian Academy is the unification of two local Christian schools, North Georgia Christian School that began in 1984 under the name Westminster Christian School and Heritage Academy that began in 1996. North Georgia Christian School began as a ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Gainesville; Heritage Academy began as the result of several families coming together to start a new school that would integrate home and family in producing disciples of Christ while providing excellence in academics. The then-new University Model® provided the structure for achieving these goals, and Heritage Academy became the second UM® school in the nation.

Both NGC and Heritage have had several moves during their combined 53 years of service to the community’s Christian families. Of significance is the fact that NGC became independent of its parent church in 2008, changing its name from Westminster Christian School to North Georgia Christian School. It has graduated ten senior classes. Heritage began as a high school and has graduated nineteen senior classes and added an elementary school in recent years.

On September 1, 2015, after thirteen months of prayer and seeking the Lord’s direction, the announcement was made that the two schools would unify in the fall of 2016. The name Lanier Christian Academy was chosen for the school reflecting the region where the school is located. LCA continues to offer the two models of education. The Traditional Model offered previously by North Georgia Christian School and the University Model that has been in place at Heritage will afford families a choice as to how their children are educated. As part of the ongoing expansion of the school, and after seeking wisdom and guidance from God, plans exist to offer an on-line model, develop a Leadership Institute, and continue to develop the Lanier Connections Learning Center which began in the spring of 2017.
