In honor and loving memory of our friend, the Natomas Schools Foundation announces the Monty Maxwell Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is established in alignment with Monty's commitment to supporting NUSD students in academics, athletics, and the arts. Annual scholarships will be awarded in his honor by the Natomas Schools Foundation.
Monty served on the Natomas Schools Foundation as President and Vice President for over ten years to support students district-wide.

It is with great sorrow our Natomas Schools Foundation shares we lost our Vice President, Monty Maxwell yesterday. Monty will always be in our hearts as a committed and caring NUSD parent, grandparent, husband,coach,and a good friend to many in our Natomas family. The Foundation will deeply miss his smile, laughter, positive energy, thoughtfulness, and passion to support our students. Please keep his family in your hearts and prayers.

A huge thank you to the Lyon Cares Foundation of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation for their continuing support of our students. Recently, they donated $5,000 to the Natomas Schools Foundation to support our kids. Way to go!
