Welcome to another year of Brookes waterpolo!!

We are looking for players for both men’s and women’s teams for the upcoming year!!

The Oxford Brookes Mens 1st and Womens 1st teams both recorded victories in their matches today! The mens team narrowly beat Leicester in a thrilling 10-9 league game and the womens team beat UEA in their cup qualification match 11-6 🤽🏼‍♂️ 🤽‍♀️

The Oxford Brookes 1st Mens team recorded their first win of the season yesterday with a 23-7 away victory against Cambridge 2nds🤽🏼‍♂️

Important information for the next few weeks:

19th of September - Freshers sports fair, make sure to come and find the waterpolo stand in the sports hall between 10-5 tomorrow. Sign up fee is £40 for the year but if you pay in cash on the day the fee is £30. It comes with a personalised water polo t-shirt.

25th of September - First training session/taster session, for the first session of the year everyone will meet at Harcourt for 19.45 at the latest for girls and 20.45 for the guys. The easiest way to get there is by using the U1 bus which directly takes you to Harcourt. The session will be a taster for those who have played before and those who know how to play.

30th of September - Trials, the Sunday after our first practice of the year will be trials for the teams. It’ll be in a format of drills and an internal game.

Congratulations to everybody on your results and being accepted to Brookes this coming year.

The Oxford Brookes Waterpolo team consists of both a men’s team and a women’s team!

We have maintained a high standard of play within the 1st division over the last couple years. Last year although struggling in the 1st division of the West Midlands league we had a very promising cup run ending in the semi finals and we are looking to improve on in the coming year.

The 2018-19 season is one which the committee sees being massive for the club. The club will be holding trials on the Sunday of freshers week and are looking for players of all abilities. We are looking to strengthen the men’s waterpolo team with good additions and GOALKEEPERS in particular. Further details regarding the time and location of the trials will be circulated in due course.

Players of ALL abilities are encouraged to come and trial even if you’ve never played waterpolo before feel free to come and give it a go!

First session of the year tonight 8:00-9:00 pm at Harcourt. Meeting at the Cheney sports barrier at 7:15 to drive up. Feel free to make your own way to Harcourt for 8:00 pm. We look forward to seeing a lot of new faces

Oxford Brookes Water Polo are excited to welcome all the new freshers for this coming year. We're looking forward to a fun and successful year ahead. If you are interested come find us at the sports fair on the 21st September at the Centre for Sport Headington 10am - 4pm. Where we'll answer all your questions. Hi Guys,

As you may have seen Southfield Clothing is launching tomorrow night at Lola's, but before that there is going to be a massive pre drinks at 2a Southfield Road with loads of free alcohol for everyone and loads of tickets for the night.

It would be great if loads of you could come down.
