Today is the night to start watching comet C/2023 A3 if you are at the right place with an unobstructed view of the West. The Comet is near the Sun and very close to the horizon. Places away from city lights are the best. The comet is starting to rise [get away from the Sun] and it will be closest to the Earth on October the 12th. People at some locations may be able to see it with the naked eye, but definitely you will be able to see it around these days with a pair of binoculars. C/2023 A3 is currently in the Virgo constellation. Happy Stargazing!!
Comet c/2023 A3 has revived the search for a massive body in the Outer Solar System. Join us to trace the history behind this elusive planet.

Despite constant attempts from rival astronomers trying to constraint the search to the Kuiper Belt and smaller bodies like Eris or a a body twice the mass of Mars at or around 60 Astronomical Units, Carlos De La Fuente and Raul De La Fuente recently found that there is evidence for the presence of a body or more than one large planet farther than 150 A.U. or 339 A.U.
I explain everything in the article written by me, [there was no A.I. in 2015, ha!} First day of publication was January 22, 2015. And I DO NOT forget that around ~2012/2013, at that time most Newswire services, popular Astronomy websites and even some pseudoscientists working for [unmamed space agency] had banned the term "Planet X" from their vocabulary and refused to publish anything about it.. They even ridiculed anyone who dared talk about it seriously.
Following is a summary, but if you do not wnat to read the article, watch the video or listen to the podcast on the Rediscovered Astronomy webiste. I will add Spanish subtitles or you can listen to the podcast in Spanish on Rediscovered Astronomy website.
Summary
Scientists have been searching for a super Earth, known as Planet X, to explain perturbations in the orbits of outer solar system planets. Various theories and discoveries have been made, but the search for Planet X continues.
Key Insights
The search for Planet X has been ongoing for centuries, with astronomers proposing various theories and making discoveries that hint at the presence of a massive unknown planet.
Astronomers have used mathematical calculations, observations of celestial bodies, and theories like the Kozai mechanism to explain the perturbations in outer solar system orbits.
The discovery of Sedna and other trans-Neptunian objects has provided crucial evidence for the existence of a massive body beyond Pluto that is influencing the outer solar system.
The existence of Planet X, whether as a super Earth or a substellar body, would have significant implications for our understanding of the solar system and its formation.
Despite some resistance and skepticism, the search for Planet X continues, with new theories and discoveries pushing the boundaries of our knowledge about our cosmic neighborhood.
