Mr. Albus came in to work on his LAST DAY of school with the HUSKIES to find that his office had been Vandalized. He and Officer Hernandez are filing the report and Officer Hernandez has informed Mr. Albus "That's a WRAP"

Reminder! Tomorrow, Thursday, May 23, is the last day of school for the 23-24 school year. Secondary students will release at 12 pm, and elementary students will release at 1 pm.

Graduation Practice TOMORROW Wednesday 5/22/24 at 3PM in the Hirschi AUDITORIUM!

1. Report to the Small Gym at 3PM.
2. Find your name and get in your designated line.
3. We will then practice walking to be seated as if the auditorium were the football field.
4. We will go over how graduation will work and how to walk the stage.
5. We will practice leaving when graduation is over!

Hopefully, the process will not take longer than 30 minutes, but it all depends on y'all showing up on time and listening!

WFISD is excited to, once again, offer summer meals to all students at no charge. Breakfast and lunch will be served at the following locations: McNiel Middle School, Jefferson Elementary, Scotland Park Elementary and Booker T. Washington Elementary. The dates meals are served vary based on location. Please see the flyer below for the specific dates at each school. Summer meals are open to all children and teens 18 and under at no charge, no enrollment necessary. Menus can be found at wfisd.nutrislice.com. You may choose to pick up meals at the location that is most convenient for you, regardless of where your child is currently enrolled. If you have any questions, please contact the Child Nutrition Office at 940.235.1065.

UIL Academic State results:

Elizabeth King was our sole competitor at UIL State. She took part in Ready Writing. sadly, she didn't finish in the top 6 . She represented Hirschi High School quite strongly.

Ann James and Myles Thoms also qualified for state but couldn't make it due to IB Testing.

Please congratulate Elizabeth for her hard work. She is determined to be back at state next year.

Compliments must also go to all the academic coaches for their hard work throughout the year. Mrs. McBroom, Mrs. Naylor, Mr. D. Thomas, Mr. Nielsen, Mr. Malone, Mrs. Beard. They all did a fantastic job.

And so we closed this chapter of Hirschi High School 2023-2024 Academics on a High Note.

Graduates!!

MSU Texas's, Dr. DeAndrea Y Davis, Assistant Professor of Management specializing in HR, organizational behavior, and finance, spoke with Rider and Hirschi students about entrepreneurship, employable behavior, and non-verbal body language.
Students were engaged in an on-the-spot idea generation, learning to think through business creation.
Students learned the importance of self-leadership by building their future selves through today's actions, entrepreneurship leadership in inspiring a team and taking risks.
Lastly, Students were instructed on first impression body language, as it only takes four seconds for employers to count you in or out.
