We learned about the history of Tarleton State University and its many transitions. Students even made a wish by tossing a coin onto the statue in the middle of campus.

Today part of our Chick-fil-a leadership team visited Paulanne’s Pantry on the MCC campus to learn more about how they serve their students and battle food insecurity.
Upward Bound toured the University of Texas at Arlington with the help of their Trio programs. Even in the rain we had a great tour. Then spent some time in Grapevine.
Upward Bound students celebrated the holidays with a jolly Academic Saturday, with Mexican Hot Cocoa & Loteria, STEM gum drop Christmas trees, Chrometography Christmas lights, Fractal Patterns in Paper Christmas Trees, and making tie-blankets for a nursing home. We have great students!

Upward Bound students volunteered at the HEB Feast of Sharing by serving meals, pies and drinks to the community. These kids worked hard, and Santa said they are on the nice list (well most of them anyways).
Today’s trip to University of Texas was a huge success! I believe we have some future longhorns!

Students toured TSTC today for Discovery Day. We learned a lot about several different programs and careers, such as welding (with our very own tour guide), biomedical technology, electrical lineman, HVAC, pilot training and more.
Our Halloween Academic Saturday was a lot of fun. We recognized our outstanding students, had a costume contest, had fun Halloween drinks, learned about financial aid and completed academic rotations.
Heart of Texas College Night brought with it a lot of great colleges and a peak at the new Baylor Welcome Center.
The Chick-fil-a Leader Academy delivered books today at the Early a childhood Center. Hope these kids enjoy their new books!

UB students toured Harvard University learning about the rich culture and history.
Today UB students flew to Boston. Our first stop was Harvard University, where we learned about the history and culture of the University along with the many different programs Harvard offers.
