Our Mustangs had a LUAU-tiful time at the school luau! Students and staff enjoyed singing, dancing to the music, and making memories that will last a lifetime!

Eid Mubarak to all who observe! Eid al-Adha, or the “Feast of Sacrifice,” is the second of two main holidays celebrated in Islam. Muslims believe that Eid al-Adha signifies the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim, known as Abraham in Christianity and Judaism, to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as ordered by Allah. It focuses on sacrifice, the pilgrimage to Mecca and giving to those less fortunate.

Memories from Mrs. Ohr and Mrs. Daye’s class! We enjoyed countless activities of learning through play. Our play taught us collaboration, literacy skills, fine and gross motor skills, and preparing to be kindergarten ready!

Our curious 2nd graders were engaged in their learning at E.C. Lawrence Park! They explored the wonders of nature and discovered the fascinating world of reptiles and amphibians!

Look at our Kindergarten Mustangs coding like pros! 😄 The students have been busy mastering Scratch Jr. on their iPads. This week, they proudly presented their creations to the class. The excitement was contagious! @FCPSR5

Our K-2 Mustangs had an amazing time at 🏃🏽‍♂️ field day on Friday. They enjoyed games,🤾🏽‍♀️ water 💦activities, popsicles, and spending time with their friends.

Learning is a blast for our Mustangs! 🐴✨Our students are using their iPads and laptops to explore the world of numbers, create exciting stories, draw all kinds of shapes, and even learn how to identify coins.

McNair Elementary’s Green 💚Team Garden Club members planted 🌱 milkweed seedlings and🪻 flowering 🌸 annuals to create a habitat for pollinators.

Our 2nd graders were all stars in PE this week! They worked together in teams to tackle different skills, showing off their collaboration and coordination.

Our 1st grade Mustangs put their teamwork skills to the test today, collaborating to build free-standing structures with Keva Planks!

Our Pre-K Mustangs learned all about nurturing plants and showing appreciation to their moms. Look at them beaming as they take their very own plants home to their families!

Today we recognize those in our community observing Good Friday. Millions of Orthodox Christians and their churches celebrate this special day according to the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Good Friday is the day for Orthodox Christians to embrace and relive the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Old Testaments of the crucifixion of Jesus.

May is a national month of recognition of the history of Jewish contributions to American culture, acknowledging the diverse achievement of the Jewish community in the U.S.
