Just made this with blood oranges and coconut milk as a treat for the kiddos, no sugar and it's SO DELISH! Packed with vitamin C, fiber, healthy MCT fatty acids that help burn fat and increase satiety, and protein from the collagen in the recipe. Also a great way for pregnant or nursing mamas to get the extra calories they need! 🍊

Clinton requested basil pesto tonight, so he helped me make it! I like to throw a few handfuls of spinach in mine, and use walnuts instead of pine nuts. They are cheaper and so tasty 🤑 I used this recipe as a guide for measurements, and it only took us about 10 minutes in the food processor. We spread it on our roasted chicken thighs, over a huge salad. Basil is high in Vitamin K, as well as having anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. 💪🏼 Yum 🌿😊🍖

Tonight's lazy easy Whole 30 dinner after grocery shopping with the kiddos. These sugar free sausages were almost 50% off per pack at Whole Foods, and I sautéed them with onions, mushrooms, and ghee. Mustard on the side and some fresh veggies. Took me 10 minutes, which is good because I had a baby fussing at my feet 😳

Dinner is taco salads with my favorite easy crockpot chicken:
a pack of boneless skinless chicken thighs 🍖cover with the best $1.99 salsa (not spicy) from Trader Joe's 👇🏻
on low for about 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3
It shreds with a fork when done.🍴
Topped with guacamole and sweet plaintains 🍌 on the side, and a little wildbrine kimchi for gut health ❤️

The Whole 30 is a 3️⃣0️⃣day, life changing, personal experiment. It's similar to paleo, but focuses on a month of removing foods that have proven to be problematic on some level for many people. ☠️😷
The idea is that changing your life rests in uprooting habits and negative associations with food, not just with diet. So for 30 days you eat the above options, and many more of course! You avoid grains 🍞🍜🍕(gluten, oats, corn, rice, etc) dairy, 🧀🍨🍦legumes 🍛 (peanuts, beans, soy, peas), sugar 🍰🍬🍯🍩🍪 (in all forms, and alcohol🍻🍷🍸🍾. You don't create paleo baked goods, pancakes, or ice cream, because this doesn't help you learn not to depend on those things.

🌈The goal is to see all the ways your health, mindset, cravings, and self-control improves over 30 days. ☀️The book outlines a reintroduction plan for after, that helps each person determine which foods they should or should not include in their diet in the future. 🎇
